Grise Fjord Shipyard, a manic place, everyone running somewhere and here I am casually walking through the place like I own it, I still can't believe I'm stationed here until maintenance checks are done on my ship.
"Mr Knowles Report To The Hangar Bay Immediately"
I paused for a moment, embracing the glimmer of hope that my ship may be ready.
Ryan:
"Now which way is the Hanger Bay?"
Twiddling my thumbs as if I was a school kid that was just caught smoking in the cafeteria.
Operative:
"This Way Mr Knowles"
An unfamiliar voice, Lovely, just what I needed to be guided by.
Ryan:
"Right away"
Operative:
"Mr Knowles I regret to inform you that your ship is still under going maintenance checks, however, we have a temporary ship available to conduct your research within the Omicron Minor System, as you have no doubt heard from the Colonel, we have been picking up on weak energy signatures within that system, I believe the Colonel himself has ordered you to conduct a full investigation into this matter."
Ryan:
"That is correct, I assume the temporary ship available to me is of basic standard?"
Operative:
"Yes, It hasn't been outfitted with any weaponry, so you will have to be careful, your primary job is to find out were these energy signatures are based."
Ryan:
"Well then, Shall we?"
Operative:
"Yes, please proceed to your vessel and once you are ready to launch, we will provide you with the coordinates to the Omicron Minor System. We will monitor your movements at all times Mr Knowles, so rest assured if we pick up any activity we will alert you immediately"
Ryan:
"Roger that, moving out"
Great just what I needed, A useless ship in a dangerous area, you might aswell just hand me a death warrant.
Escaping Ellesmere with this vessel proved easier than I thought... Hopefully when I get to California Minor, there won't be a welcoming party of LSF Agents awaiting me. I can't afford to be caught by them, not now... not when I have learned so much about this... this Artifact. I need to get in contact with the Lane Hackers, may be they will be of some assistance to me, once I've explained myself that is. I can only hope.
Nicole Hunter got in contact with me, Decrypting that message was hard work, at least I have my assurance that they can get the job done. The discovery I made within the Omicron Minor System has lead me to live under a false alias... I can't let the Liberty Security Force catch me... I've been in contact with an Outcast Scientist, Itziar Leiseka. Hopefully she can help me in my endeavours, but first thing is first, I need to ensure my own safety, dispose of any tracking devices, I can't be monitored by the Liberty Security Force anymore.
Saishi Database Files #873 Wrote:LH~Mactan.Interceptor: Target on scanner.
Ryan.Bishop: Lane Hackers, I am in need of your assistance. if you can jam my frequencies immediately, allow me to explain.
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: Believe it or not you're already jammed.
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: But first things first...
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: Who are you?
Ryan.Bishop: Ah, Well, I am Ryan Knowles.
Ryan.Bishop: A Liberty Security Force Agent.
Ryan.Bishop: Problem is.
Ryan.Bishop: A discovery of mine has lead my position within the LSF to be some what jeopardized.
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: Now you better give us a good reason not to part you with your life, Mr Knowles.
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: If that is even your real name.
Ryan.Bishop: But of course.
Ryan.Bishop: I can provide you with intel within the LSF
Ryan.Bishop: Infiltration so to speak
Ryan.Bishop: Providing you can assist me in my endeavour.
Ryan.Bishop: The Liberty Security Force as you know operate in many places
Ryan.Bishop: There are dark secrets held within the Liberty Security Force.
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: You got my attention.
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: Or faith, however you wish to see it.
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: What do you want from us?
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: Mr Orlov, is scanning completed?
LH~Leiden.Equivocator: Momentarily.
Ryan.Bishop: A device capable enough of interfering with radio frequencies.
Ryan.Bishop: I cannot be tracked by the Liberty Security Force, It will prevent me from conducting any research.
Ryan.Bishop: Also I offer myself at your disposal.
LH~Leiden.Equivocator: Scanning complete.
LH~Cochrane.Interceptor: So you will provide us intel of that dark secret?
Ryan.Bishop: Indeed.
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: Very well, commence disinfection procedure.
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: Mr Knowles, please dock. Your ship will be....
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: restructured.
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: To avoid any unpleasantries that may happen...
Ryan.Bishop: Most Certainly.
Docking request sent to LH~Leiden.Equivocator
LH~Leiden.Equivocator: Course plotted.
LH~Leiden.Equivocator: Dissinfection complete. One tracking device discovered and neutralized.
LH~Leiden.Equivocator: Coordinates reached.
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: Mr Bishop, you can undock.
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: Mr Orlov, Equivocator can return to base.
LH~Leiden.Equivocator: Roger that.
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: Good luck and be warned about significant Navy activity in the system.
LH~Leiden.Equivocator: Aye. Proceeding with caution.
LH~Cochrane.Interceptor: I recommend activating your cloaking device when moving through high trafficing areas.
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: Mr Bishop... we made sure...
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: your vessel has not been tracked and that our original location of meeting will not be ...
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: compromised.
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: Now we can speak.
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: You wish to betray LSF to gain our help.
Ryan.Bishop: Of course.
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: Why?
Ryan.Bishop: Because there are things... things I can not do within the LSF whilst they are monitoring me.
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: Being precise now is mandatory.
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: What do you want to achieve? What is your goal?
Ryan.Bishop: Well.... you may find it barbaric.
Ryan.Bishop: But there is an Artifact.
Ryan.Bishop: Not like the rest
Ryan.Bishop: It is still active.
Ryan.Bishop: My goal is to find it, and conduct research into it.
Ryan.Bishop: The Toledo incident has lead me to this.
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: Isn't it a goal of LSF as well?
LH~Cochrane.Interceptor: You sure that kind Artifact even exists?
Ryan.Bishop: The LSF wish to salvage such an Artifact... for more repramanding purpose.
Ryan.Bishop: I can not let that happen.
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: And that is?
Ryan.Bishop: To control.
Ryan.Bishop: Hasn't it always been about control?
Ryan.Bishop: Control your lives, your decisions.
Ryan.Bishop: Omnipotence, Omniscience.
LH~Mactan.Interceptor: And you want to do only good, am I correct?
Ryan.Bishop: I am told that this particular Artefact may be in Order hands.
Ryan.Bishop: I am a Scientist by nature.
Ryan.Bishop: Of course this means I'm interested.
Ryan.Bishop: I do not wish to obtain it.
Ryan.Bishop: I wish to study it.
I was told they will be back in contact with me, I need to earn there trust, I wouldn't of expected anything less to be honest, in return they will assist me, providing me with safe houses, resources and the device I require to remain undetected by the Liberty Security Force, or any other intelligence unit at that. I was expecting far worse, It seems I work within their favour, no doubt they will want certain data from the Liberty Security Force's main database based within Ellesmere. I some how persuaded them that I'm a lunatic, although I've been open to that conclusion, They haven't seen what I have seen...
Back on California Minor and the luxury's it has to offer, that being nothing but a cold and dull atmosphere, I might as well take advantage of the time I have spare, Time to see what the radical left live like.
So here I am trying to pass my time in the bar. Everyone here seems miserable. Great, just what I needed, there is nothing quite like being in the presence of an emotional bunch of people who can't stop gabbing about how depressed they are.
Neural Net Log #4U1 Wrote:Ryan.Bishop: Good day Lane Hacker.
LH~Leiden.Traverser: Greetings, have you got more Intel?
Ryan.Bishop: I will need more time unfortunately, however a door has opened.
Ryan.Bishop: Allowing me to collect some more Intel on your behalf.
Ryan.Bishop: But I would like to know if there is anything specific you require.
LH~Leiden.Traverser: I am not aware of what we require, you need to contact Miss Hunter about that.
Ryan.Bishop: I see, Not a problem, well until then I am willing to assist you in anyway possible.
Ryan.Bishop: If there are any contracts available to me, please feel free to contact me via the neural net.
I've been in contact with a Lane Hacker named Leiden. He didn't really give me the information I was looking forward to receiving. So once again I'm just waiting around here on California Minor, taking whatever contract is available to me. Perhaps I should go and dig up what information I can, see if there is anything of interest around here. I suppose there is no harm in stretching my wings a bit, earning a little bit of scratch won't be of any harm either, by the looks of things I may need it.
Roaming around the Colorado System on my way to New York From Ontario, I noticed a lot of activity near a high trafficking area, Of course me being me, I had to run into a bunch of Xenos, thankfully they showed very little interest in me. That was until I bumped into Itziar Leiseka, I have a deal going on with her, but it seemed the neighbourhood Xenos wanted her dead, I couldn't afford for that to happen.
Saishi Database Files #4U2 Wrote:Ryan.Bishop: Good day Itziar, it's lovely to see you again.
Ryan.Bishop: You look like you could use a hand there.
Itziar.Leiseka[101st]: Who are you?
Ryan.Bishop: All in good time, For now let's deal with the Xenos.
Leprosy.Hyena: You Better not.
Ryan.Bishop: I wouldn't want you dying right now.
Ryan.Bishop: Since I will need you later on.
Itziar.Leiseka[101st]: That's sweet of you
Ryan.Bishop: I can assist you if you wish?
Itziar.Leiseka[101st]: Sure, why not...
Out gunned, Out numbered, I don't know how but we managed to deal with them, I've never met a group of incompetent pilots like that before, perhaps my training within the Liberty Security Force compensated for that though.
Saishi Database Files #4U2 Wrote:Ryan.Bishop: I trust all is well with you then Itziar?
Itziar.Leiseka[101st]: I guess...
Itziar.Leiseka[101st]: Considering the odds...
Itziar.Leiseka[101st]: Maybe I should have paid...
Ryan.Bishop: The Lane Hackers have managed to deliver what I wanted.
Ryan.Bishop: But in return I must assist them with a delicate matter.
Itziar.Leiseka[101st]: Ahh, its you...
Ryan.Bishop: Yes.
Itziar.Leiseka[101st]: What about the Liquid Cardamine?...
Ryan.Bishop: I am in contact with someone right now.
Ryan.Bishop: Who will lead me to someone that is able to provide me with what I need.
Itziar.Leiseka[101st]: Good, very good
Ryan.Bishop: But in return I must assist him too.
Ryan.Bishop: I am confident I will have what you require soon.
Itziar.Leiseka[101st]: I am looking forward to it...
Itziar.Leiseka[101st]: You shall also be given what you seek...
Ryan.Bishop: As am I, you will have to forgive the secrecy of my current safe house.
Ryan.Bishop: I will contact you again very soon.
Ryan.Bishop: Take care ma'am.
Itziar.Leiseka[101st]: Good, you know where you can reach me...
Okay I may have told her a little white lie, considering I haven't made any progress in obtaining the Liquid Cardamine, but I will obtain it in due time. Overall I would say I've spent the time I had valuably, Although I do dread going back to California Minor at the minute, I suppose I have no option but to do so and get some rest. Who knows, I might dig up something interesting on the way.
Heading towards the California Jump Gate, after meeting with Itziar Leiseka, I came across a convoy of USI Vessels shipping precious cargo back to there headquarters. It might not be seeing what the radical left live like, but nevertheless I need the scratch. I offered my services to them, after all I don't really want to go back to California Minor, It's prime time for all the emotionally deprived people to make an appearance, feeling the need to complain about every foot step they take whilst on that Planet. Safe to say I won't be missing out.
Saishi Database Files #4U2 Wrote:Ryan.Bishop: USI Vessels, please may I have your attention.
[*USI*]Clearwater[S]: Michael: Very well.
Ryan.Bishop: Allow me to introduce myself, I am Ryan Bishop.
[*USI*]3M.Cloud[GM]: James: Pleasure.
Ryan.Bishop: I am currently looking for a contract.
Ryan.Bishop: It seems given my current position.
Ryan.Bishop: I am in need of some scratch.
[*USI*]Clearwater[S]: Michael: What kind of contract?
[*USI*]Clearwater[S]: Michael: You can first start by getting rid of that pirate ahead.
Ryan.Bishop: Not a problem.
That was quick, Looks like Universal Shipping are in short supply of decent pilots to aid them in there cause. Better get to it then.
Saishi Database Files #4U2 Wrote:[*USI*]E.Jaeger.[SSO]: Let's do this Ryan.
Ryan.Bishop: Time to deal with you once and for all my friend.
It didn't take long to deal with that lone pirate, he lacked any skill and couldn't hit the broadside of a stationery battle transport.
[*USI*]Clearwater[S]: Michael: Ryan, are you looking for a full time position?
Ryan.Bishop: I'm looking for more of a series of contracts prior to completing my main goal.
[*USI*]Clearwater[S]: Michael: And what's that goal?
Ryan.Bishop: I am a scientist by nature my friend.
Ryan.Bishop: And I have some business with a certain individual.
Ryan.Bishop: Forgive the secrecy
[*USI*]Clearwater[S]: Michael: I get it.
[*USI*]Clearwater[S]: Michael: We all have things we have to do.
Ryan.Bishop: But I am willing to assist you in anyway I can.
Ryan.Bishop: For a price of course.
Ryan.Bishop: Contact me via the Neural Net, I am stuck on California Minor for the time being.
Ryan.Bishop: If you send me a communique, In regards to any upcoming work I will be obliged to join you in your endeavours.
[*USI*]Clearwater[S]: Good to hear, I will be in contact with you Mr Bishop.
Looks like I'll have something to do from here on in, Hopefully the Lane Hackers will be in contact with me, before these corporate succubus's try to enrol me into a full time position. They have made it appealing up to now, what with the scratch I just got from them, I could probably live a more simple life.
So after waiting around for quite some time now, The Lane Hackers finally got back in contact with me. I've managed to earn some scratch for the journey ahead of me, It looks like all that work for Universal Shipping and the occasional Bounty that I've collected has paid off handsomely. The Lane Hackers don't really make it easy for me, mind you I wouldn't expect anything less. The danger I am putting them in is beyond comprehension. They must have come to the conclusion that I am a valuable asset and can assist them with something of vital importance. Well I guess I better get started on decrypting this code.
Oh great, Nicole doesn't like to make things easy on me does she. So she has an interest in Eureka Research Station, how she has knowledge of such a place goes beyond me. Even Agent's of the Liberty Security Force are in the mist about such a thing, rumours are an empty void and can't be treated as a reliable source. I need to get in contact with an old friend of mine, perhaps he will be able to assist me, it will likely mean I'm putting his life at risk as well, but I have to find it....
I'll probably have to invest in a new ship too, Perhaps the Lane Hackers can be of some service there, of course it goes without saying, they will probably need some funding. It's a good job I didn't sit at California Minor's luxurious bar, drinking alcohol until my heart was content. I should be able to give The Lane Hackers a sufficient amount of credits for this slight inconvenience.
What a dead end this turned out to be. Nicole is under the impression that Eureka Research Station actually exists, even though their is no documented records of such a facility existing. I've spent the last week trying to find it within the main database and guess what, nothing.
On the bright side, I'm becoming more and more familiar with the Lane Hackers, I've recently learned the essential in regards to The Lane Hackers use of software and analytics. So I uploaded this information to my neural net, It gives me a good insight on how they coordinate as a group.
I contacted Nicole using her methods via the scrambler, it's kind of nice being on the opposite end, sending out encrypted data via her own device. I can only imagine it won't take too long for her to decrypt it.
Until then, it looks like I'm destined to report to Black Throne. It seems my priority level has changed and now I'm answering to him. Not that the overwhelming stress of juggling two identity's is enough, Now I'm answering to a person who can kill me at any given moment, if he feels so inclined. I guess I better report back to him immediately, I wouldn't be surprised if he was tailing my every move without me noticing.
I've heard some rumours about a particular scientist based out on Planet Sprague, perhaps she can be of some service later on. I didn't quite catch her name, but I imagine it won't be too hard, after all, if people are talking about her here on California Minor, maybe a more sophisticated person, based somewhere were being classy is essential, can assist me in my endeavours.
The Lane Hackers are full of surprises, Black Throne only implied slightly that the existence of Eureka Research Station is true. But it seems Nicole Hunter has sufficient enough evidence to back up her claims of such a facility existing. Hard to believe that I've been outwitted by a Lane Hacker. Why is the Liberty Security Force so contempt with keeping Eureka Research Station a secret anyway. I would put it down to conspiracy, if I wasn't under the employment of the Liberty Security Force, It seems they have a lot more going on in the backgrounds than I originally anticipated.
Since Nicole was gracious enough to upload some of the documented data she had on Eureka Research Station, I thought it was best to upload it to my Neural Net. After all, Black Throne will want to see all of this, although I'm apprehensive about presenting this to him. I need to be concise in regards to what I want to do next. I have a feeling my position is once again being compromised.
It seems my reports on the Toledo Wrecks have kept the Liberty Security Force rather busy for now, although I may have shared with them some fragments of the research I conducted there, I haven't been entirely honest with them. I think it is best I keep it that way. This kind of discovery will likely mean that I'll be vulnerable to interrogation or possible death at the hands of the Liberty Security Force. It's not exactly unknown that the Liberty Security Force will rid of any loose ends. If they knew about the Artifact, they would do anything deemed necessary to obtain it. I have to respect that this journey may be death defying and all out bizarre, but I have found myself clinging to a thread of hope and I can't let go... Not now...
En route back to Headquarters within New York after picking up my primary vessel, I picked up some Rogues on my Long Range Scans. It seems the new equipment installed on my ship has proved rather effective. Perhaps I should seize this opportunity. After all, The Liberty Rogues can also conceal me from any shadows that lurk behind me. It seems this is within my best interest.
Well there's no going back now. Let's see if they will cooperate with me. I wouldn't be surprised if they just out right open fired upon me, there's only one way to find out.

I probably shouldn't of told a joke, perhaps giving them credits would of been a more friendly approach. The things I complain about.. It's like there isn't a cloud in the sky and it's still raining.. I do know how to make things a little more complicated for myself, I know that much at least, it's a good thing they cooperated though, my trigger finger was itching.
So it seems they will be in contact with me soon, I do hope it's not a complex assignment, in comparison to what The Lane Hackers want. I can only imagine The Liberty Rogues will want something of mediocre standard. We'll see..
I've been forced to take my research in the Omicron Minor System with me. I can no longer leave it in the safety of California Minor's safe house, it seems the code of conduct and confidentiality policies are exempt here. To be fair, it's probably for the best, leaving my possession's in the hands of incompetent individuals isn't exactly the most logical thing to do.
Nevertheless, I might as well start uploading it to my neural net and ensure that I have some extra copies, just in case. I can take advantage of the research I have conducted thus far, but I feel as if it isn't enough, I may have to revisit Omicron Minor, Perhaps there are more clues.. I may have missed a couple of things in my hastiness.
The most important of all of my research conducted within the Omicron Minor System is the Nefertiti. After conducting my research on the Artifacts I obtained from the vessel, faint energy signatures suggested that said Artifacts are still active and have a function of some sort. The audio files from the Nefertiti proved even more interesting. In fact it is one of the primary reasons I am were I am today.
