Offer yourself as an escort and make people pay you up front.

Well, I used to take annoyance toll with a Freelancer ID'ed arrow once.
Like, cutting lanes and CDing until I am paid to stop doing so. It's perfectly fine to be a bully with FL ID, but mind that you WILL get consequences at the end (lawfuls will come to poop on your head)
Yeah, that was the plan, I might just do it, not demand money, and just wait until they pay me...
Maybe I'll get sanctioned under "Trolling or harassing other members of the community" though...
Another new type of piracy I've been doing lately... equipment piracy.
Demand money, based on equipment value (especially works well against traders with no cargo, they QQ about not hauling anything, so what? You have 3 mil of equipment mounted). Also works well against people hauling crappy commodities like Liberty Ale in NY.
Nova their ship until all equipment is gone, then let them get 3K away from you, follow them to a station and feign an attempt to kill them to make them dock.
I did this recently in a Pelican, sub targeted each gun, thruster etc and shot them all off, he was hauling Basic Alloy and refused to pay me 3 mil because "tax is too high for this cargo", it ended up costing him 6 Dulzians, an Enhanced thruster and some other stuff, more than 3 mil worth, and wasted him time too. Then to add icing to the cake, he undocked and continued on the same route I assumed he was on, so he lost another 3 mil+ of equipment, plus 20 mins hanging around while I shot his stuff off, so like 10mil+ worth of time.
Why blow them up when they just re-enter the system again with the same cargo? (even though it's against the rules, nearly every trader I see does it, you can't sanction 5 traders per day, and I can't be bothered doing that anyway).

Haha! Good idea, I'll have to try that, or actually escort him, and if we see a pirate, help the pirate instead by CDing he trader.
Or how about this: Follow a trader as a FL, get him in the middle of a lane somewhere, CD him, and talk in system saying stuff like "He's between Manhattan and West Point", "He's hauling Gold Ore, get here quick!", just pretend you have pirates coming to help.
That would make you be a d***. Signing a contract and then turning sides is not nice, but I guess that would be in your nature. This is not the first useless topic you create with a relative strange ideea.
If you want to pirate get a pirate ID and done, also I imagine that your RP with that USI member wasn`t that dedicated...

While it may be considered a d*** move, ithink its clever. Nicely thought out.
These things happen inRL, so why not in FL?
EDIT: After all, we are in a RP game where we RP that things are real. And in reality you have turncoats aswell
This Galaxy is vast; its wonders and beauty are almost unfathomable. But the galaxy also hides dark secrets, some of which have lain dormant since the beginning of time itself. There is a danger in secrets, both in seeking and in knowing. Some things are meant to be hidden from view. Some mysteries defy understanding, and sometimes even the things we think we know are untrue. Some secrets should remain untouched.

Don't see anything wrong with thinking outside the box and being creative.
The trader QQ I'm detecting here makes me think this is an ever better idea than I thought.
Another cool idea I've just thought of, RPing a corrupt Police officer, he escorts traders for free, and when there's a pirate, suddenly he's on his union mandated break and doesn't help the trader, sound good?
I had a freelancer once, who would sit in front of WP. If I saw a pirate in Cali, I would offer my services as a ''heads up'' guy, so to speak. If he refused to hire me, I would warn all traders of his presence and keep doing so until they realized what was going on and paid me. Then I would offer myself up as an escort to the traders passing me (Without the pirate knowing), get paid up front and once we reached the pirate, simply have the pirate hire me to blast the trader.
But mind you this was in 84, where such things could be done a bit easier and the rules weren't as strict.
