For eight centuries Kusari has been a bastion of civilization within the Sirius community.
Having the lowest crime rate of all the great houses and fostering a deep respect towards one’s family and nation.
The citizens of Kusari stood proud of the accomplishments they had created and commanded respect from their neighbors on all sides.
Something has changed recently in Kusari.
The national pride once shown by our people has been replaced by greed and corruption.
All we need do is look out our window to the displaced citizens who must sleep in parks and on benches in the streets due to no longer having an income to support their families with.
To the victims of violent crime that sit in our hospitals, unsure if their new medical insurance policy they were forced to take will cover this procedure.
To the parents who sadly watch while their children grow up in a new world of survival of the fittest and lose respect for the world around them.
We all understand why our nation has become the way it has recently, due to the vision of a few, who are sucking the decency out of Kusari, one credit at a time.
This new regime cares little for the people, as can be seen by the winds of change we are all
being assailed with.
Your house, livelihood, family and culture are all taking second place to the all mighty credit.
The Kusari Reformist Party wishes to halt this slide into degeneration and return Kusari to the grandeur it once was.
A place of high ideals, where everyone has a job and the cost of living is kept low enough for all.
We do not want to see our culture change to become more like Liberty, we are not Liberty.
Kusari has a rich history, culture and tradition, one we will protect.
Stated Goals:
To return the Kusari Teikoku to a constitutional monarchy.
Economic reforms leading to a greater distribution of wealth for all citizens, greater welfare packages and a mandate written in law to protect the people.
An increase in funding for all divisions of Kusari defense forces and police.
An increase in taxation on all foreign works as well as goods imported through Kusari to assist with greater tax breaks for domestic products.
To bring Kusari back to a position of respect from both our citizens and neighbors.
Requirement for membership:
Membership is open to all individuals holding citizenship in Kusari who are of high moral caliber and over the age of sixteen.
Growth and Opportunities:
Kusari stands at a time of great expamnsion, as such a government lead by our party will endeavor to provide financial incentives for any persons or groups wishing to move from the three core planets to one of Kusari’s other expanding territories.
Greater assistance packages will be awarded to those that have established businesses to relocate those as well.
In time this policy will ensure greater Kusari prosperity well into the future as we expand not only our population but place within Sirius as well.
Families:
The Kusari Reformation Party places the family as the highest community unit in Kusari.
As such we pledge that greater reforms will be enacted to protect families from the economic loss and cost of living burdens placed upon them through the narrow minded policies enabled by the democrats in their drive to placate big business at the expense of those that truly matter, the people of Kusari.
Education:
Government subsidised education packages will be made available to those wishing to gain employment or retrain to a new career.
There will be a slight increase in costs to foreign students studying in Kusari to help fund a greater level of training to education providers within Kusari as well as a greater expectation on said providers and the level of care they provide to students.
Workers:
Economy:
While the Kusari Economy may appear strong at present, it is a far cry from the truth.
Most of the profit of several goods chains are now leaving Kusari.
The DPK in their majority government has sold out the welfare of Kusari citizens while at the same time tarnishing our image with long standing trade partners and vital service providers throughout Sirius.
The Kusari Reformation Party has strong views on Kusari and it’s place within Sirius.
As such commodity embargoes like those put in place by our previous government will be a thing of the past as we strive to work with our neighbors to ensure a productive relationship with each of the nations of Sirius.
There will be greater tax incentives for local business in all their endeavors as well as foreign corporations on the export of Kusari goods to other lands.
Kusari will reach out with our hand of friendship to each of our neighbors to reaffirm long standing relationships of the past.
Our first order of business will be reconciliation with the Empire of Bretonia.
Too long have the government allowed this relationship to flounder, while there has been no state of aggression between these two once great trading partners, an unacceptable state of cold aggression has been allowed to persist.
It is time to move on and rekindle our trade relationship for the sake of both nations.
Food:
Kusari is one of the greatest food producers in Sirius, we have multiple planets working year round to provide Kusari and indeed all our trade partners with the highest quality products.
The KRP is committed in promoting greater food security for Kusari.
To strengthen this position the Kusari Reformation Party will, if elected, place a higher taxation bracket on imported food into Kusari to offer greater tax benefits on domestically grown food products.
We shall also be introducing policies to share knowledge, technologies, and techniques with our neighbors, the native food producers in Rheinland.
This shall increase productivity in both the Rheinland and especially Kusari markets to help facilitate our cornering of the Sirius market.
Defense:
The Kusari State Police will be receiving a large funding increase so they may continue the fine work they have done under trying conditions imposed by the DPK, with the fervor and incorruptibility they have shown in the past.
Crime shall be punished severly with new reforms to grant law enforcers with additional powers so that Kusari can once again have the lowest crime rate of all the houses and the highest level of personal safety for not only our citizenry but tourism as well.
Our military forces shall all be brought into line of a single command to restore order within Kusari and protect our nation from any outside threats.
They shall also receive greater funding in the way of increased pensions to all retired officers and increased hazard pay.
Manabu Yukimura - (Prime Minister) “I love my nation, everything about it is an inspiration to me.”
"Never in my life can I foresee a time that I will not do everything in my power to protect it from those that wish to cause it harm."
Manabu-san was born and raised on Kyushu in the Gendiki Prefecture where he worked towards politics at a young age.
Never one to sit by while he saw what he thought was wrong happening before him, he volunteered for duty to not only the Kusari State Police but service to the Governor of Kyushu as soon as he left school.
After an exceptional career he retired from the police after fifteen years and moved into politics full time.
Eventually becoming Governor of Kyushu himself, he won the confidence of the people as he oversaw many reforms that ensured Kyushu remained a wonderful place to live.
As his tenure in office was recognised as one of the most successful Governors in Kusari, he was able to make sure that Kyushu was relatively unscathed by the wave of political reform that swept through Kusari as the D.P.K. made their move to bring about a new Republic.
Since that time Manabu-san has spent his time lessening the damage caused to Kusari by the DPK and waiting for the chance for the good people of Kusari to again have the right to voice their opinions on the changes that the D.P.K. has forced upon them.
Kaisho Shinobu Inada (Ret.) - (Minister of Defense) “Discipline, respect, sincerity, restraint, justice, these are the benchmarks of a good life in Kusari.”
And the conditions by which I live my life and serve the people.”
Shinobu-san is a decorated veteran of of the Nomad wars having served on the front line during the entire conflict.
He was instrumental in the evacuation and protection of civilian bases under attack by the infected forces that breached Kusari borders, as well as numerous counter offensives that stalled the invaders long enough for Kusar put up an adequate defense.
His service record also highlights no less than forty campaigns to secure Kusari’s borders from criminal organisations.
He moved into a life of politics after the Republic was formed to as he says “slow the corruption that I saw many of my former brothers fall to as they were offered places of power in payment for their cooperation or silence.”
He proved to be a man of high moral caliber as he stood proud of Kusari and it’s traditions and rejected many of the same offers.
Instead he has taken a stand to remind those around him that service, not ambition is the duty of the protectors of Kusari.
Makoto Yamada - (Minister of Foreign Affairs) “Kusari is the central piece in the puzzle that is Sirius, only by working with our neighbors can we truly see our own greatness.”
Makoto-san is a student of the human condition, he has studied extensively at the University of New Tokyo as well as abroad at some of the most regarded scholastic institutions in both Liberty and Bretonia.
During his earlier years he worked as a lawyer in corporate law and as both a public funded and private mediator where his skill allowed him to shine.
He joined the Kusari Reformation Party two years ago as he felt that the politics of the day lacked the ability to understand the common citizen that the elected officials were meant to be standing for.
Since his time in politics he has risen through the ranks of the KRP and was elected to govern the Sasumi prefecture on Kyushu where his electorate has shown him unwavering support.
Sadao Kimura - (Minister of Trade and the Economy) “Our economy, when being used correctly, is the envy of the colonies.
All we need do is allow it to express that”
Sadao-san, Minister of Trade and the Economy previously held the position of Daihyo of the Bank of New Tokyo and has an extensive career in banking and finance.
She stated her reasoning for running for the Toyatomi Prefecture was that she was amazed at how inefficiently the government was running it's treasury.
Being her first campaign, she has spent some time adapting to the role of politics but has shown great aptitude and takes all challenges in her stride.
Striking a strong self image, she does not have time for the gender debate in Kusari and has so far refused to answer any queries relating to that subject.
One thing is for sure, she intends to cut through the treasury and increase Kusari's financial environment.
