The world around her have changed dramatically fast with the yet unknown twists of fate and she was uncertain about many things but she could come with the answer for sure.
I want to have freedom and I want to have my revenge.
Her face have changed as she felt disgust towards the life itself and to those who made an attempt to get rid of her, whoever was it. Turns out she was saved by someone who didn't even knew her. Would the others do the same when the time of need comes?
She couldn't say 'yes'.
You must know that feeling, right Hideo? I want to have a revenge and I want to know the details of what happened. I think it's obvious - correct me if I'm wrong.
And.. I also wanted to say 'thanks'. Whoever you are you saved me and I don't know why but I'm not sure someone would do that to me in entire Sirius. I was working for people who just pays the money for blood.
She felt like looking at own life from somewhere above rethinking all the events and decisions. Looking from the distant point of view on her own adventures realizing that it was an empty cause.
"I am no stranger to revenge, as you correctly guessed. I once vowed to slay those who betrayed the honor of my family long time ago, and to my own fortune, I was granted means to achieve so. Afterwards I understood what this community strived for, the single purpose viewed by the single collective.
He clenched his fist and raised it as a cynical manner to express a feeling that Remilia had been familiar with, that of anger upon facing all the odds that Sirius could pose against her. Either lying or not speaking the truth at all seeming to be working equally to bend her will.
"Now, I believe it is my turn to offer you the means I was once offered to claim revenge. However those you are looking for are currently out there, hiding in a nebula, gliding cautiously through the asteroids or maybe sitting among those you are working for."
Another grin flashed in his face, slowly walking toward until he would stop on the spot and offering a hand shake only when he would have finished speaking.
"We provide you the means, and in exchange you aid us to take closer steps toward our single goal."
Over a minute have passed but Remilia was still standing still thinking about what Hideo just told her. It was a tough question. He was standing right in front of her with hands crossed on the chest, patiently waiting for her answer.
Remilia now knew all the story, he told her about everything. 'They' saved her life and she was in debt for that - she wasn't liked to be in debt. Debts must be paid. But the 'means' they used to save her file. She was shocked at first.
Yes, she was, in fact, dead. For a long time already. As well as many of the base's inhabitants. The Nomad Incubi. That 'thing' was inside of her, supporting her life. Or at least that's what she could understand from the Hideo's story. But she didn't felt it's presence nor it's attempts to manipulate her mind. She wasn't a puppet but could be one for sure - so why didn't they just pull this out? The myriads of questions were sparking in her mind but she couldn't get an answer as of yet.
So she decided to simply stop thinking about it. Remilia got used to that trick through her life, harsh and hostile. Simply not caring and moving on - it was the ability that was mandatory for the people of her business. The life on Leeds, the battles fought shoulder to shoulder with the Gaians and her sister, the mercenary work for Corsairs and then against Corsairs. All those changes have led her here, to stand on this cold floor with the man in front of her waiting for the answer.
Remilia sighted. She still have to answer the question.
I heard of you. You're killing humans. Well, this isn't different from what I was doing through my life anyway.
