The recent discovery of a newly opened Omega 9 hole has prompted rapid development in the Omega systems. Transit routes have changed, and Operations Department has been granted permission to scan that system.
Operational Objective:
Mapping of the system
Mapping of hole locations
Measurement of hole stability
Location of Zones of Economic Interest (ZEI)
Probing ZEIs for Potential Mining Sites (PMS)
Securing IMG influence in the area
Providing security to our staging area: Freeport 101
Step 1: Security Forces dispatched to FP101:
After a request by Freeport 101, fighter wings have been dispatched. The Freeport is our operational staging area. Keeping it open for our operations is paramount.
Mission Parameters:
Assess the threat levels and the political situation before establishing a base of operation on the Freeport.
Convince the Freeport Operators to support us in our expansion by assisting him against his direct enemies.
Establishing a base for operations and basic security in the regions will enable us to conduct further missions in O9.
Mission 1 Accomplished. We established contact with the Freeport Administrator. The OPG group was driven off, a gunboat and a bomber were destroyed in the process in O3 and O7.
Step 2: Installation of an Antenna for Emergency Comms:
After a Security Experts team had been dropped on the base with the permission of the Administrator, it was decided that an antenna for direct communication has to be built.
IMG Forces are to load all the goods and head out again immediately to deliver the materials to get that antenna done.
On the way, two OPG vessels, a Pretorian and a Gunboat were destroyed.
Contact and Cargo Delivery
We made contact with the base Administrator, Mr. Prescot, who was at the Freeport.
We got permission to unload the first load of cargo to it that the Freeport had asked us for. We delivered:
Food
Water
Oxygen
Reinforced Alloys
Insertion of Security Advisers and Combat Engineers
We moved in again, finishing the promised amounts of the items, and added 5 Security Advisers and Combat Engineers to the Freeport with the authorisation of the base administrator. The base administrator assumes they are just advisers.
Regaining Access to the Freeport
After the dropoff, we received orders to install an antenna at the Freeport 101 that would allow safe communcation between Aland and the Freeport. We proceeded to O9 with the materials and Red-3, but ran into a lockdown by Corsairs.
IMG Defense launched again and broke up the siege, liberating the Freeport. We lost a gunboat, and took out a bomber and a gunboat before the enemy retreated.
Installing the Antenna
After Defense cleared the perimeter, we managed to get to the Freeport unnoticed in a fourth approach. I was on board of Red-3, the ship that would lead the installation of the antenna. Three transports assisted with the building materials, and so we managed to get it done in about 15 minutes. It was pretty tense.
In a surprising move the Board of Guildmasters claimed parts of Omega 9. We are still waiting for responses, but alert levels are raised to Code Yellow for all IMG Operations, and to Code Orange on the Omega operation theatre.
Omega Security is on standby and keep a double shift ready to enforce our claim and secure our staging point Freeport 101.
Freeport 9 Patrol Duty started slow and uneventful.
When Kruger transport class vessels arrived to drop off Hull Segments, we found a common ground and started talking. They are also supplying Freeport 101 and their supplies helped to shorten our supply mission considerably. They even gave me some wine and were generally surprisingly friendly.
After that, madness started. Omega 9 operations went intense like hell. The Omegas are on fire, it seems, and Omega 9 was hit by a large group of Wilde and Alien ships twice today.
In the first attack, IMG Defense was too late to do more than helping in the S&R efforts. An order taskforce has brought a transport full of Marines for a boarding operation against that other base in Omega 9. It was attacked by a large group of Wilde alien ships and destroyed while being close to Freeport 101.
IMG crews were able to pinpoint the location of the survivors that were not immediately killed during the vicious explosion.
IMG Coko had some medical crew on board and we collected the floating survivors. The plan was to evacuate them to Freistadt base emergeny medcial unitl, but the Order insisted that we handed them to the Carrier class vessel. We complied.
About an hour later, another attack group rolled into Omega 9, pinning down our light patrol wing. We had to hold out until reinforcement arrived from the Omegas to attack them for real.
IMG Defense managed to destroy or damage many of them, but our allies suffered grievous losses.
Step 4: Freeport 101 Supply Runs and Security Buildup
Today the IMG was called in to deliver large quantities of repair and building materials into Omega 9 by the Freeport 101 Administrator. The mission was accomplished, 5 transport loads of Reinforced Alloys were delivered, partially under difficult conditions.
Security Operations in the region led to the destruction of an AI Cruiser class vessel that started attacking our assets at Freeport 101 for no apparent reasons. T-4000 was engaged successfully and destroyed. Allied losses: 1 Light Fighter.
T-3000 disengaged and fled. Further confrontations are to be expected.
More engagements took place against the Wagner piracy group, as well as Corsair forces near Freeport 1 which tried to intercept our transportation assets. A Corsair gunboat was destroyed without allied losses.
It's difficult to assess the Wilde threat in Omega 9. At one point, one uncloaked and attacked the base, luckily our transport had just docked seconds before. There was no real attack.
The Order seemed annoyed about not having been allowed to use Aland as a protective position against Reavers. It will be interesting how this develops.
Mission accomplished today with minimal losses.
Good job everybody!
We started routinely with supply runs to Freeport 101 to keep our relations with the new Administration up. We delivered basic repair commodities, as requested by the station loading masters.
Contact with BAF Forces
IMG Convoy vessels met BAF Forces when they went for the last run. There was a patrol wing of 4 snubs and a gunboat. The IMG told them about the location of Freeport 101.
Some Reavers came in and there was an engagement. Outcome unknown to us, as we left the area before it started. The Laacher Lake Nebula swallows radio signals very fast.
Cameron Solar Port showed as hostile
When hurrying to assist our patrol crafts that were engaged by Wilde, I flew past Cameron Solar Port and was surprised to see it red and guns blazing at me. The Defense is not terribly strong, however we might want to investigate who owns it nowadays and whether it is a transponder fault or something worse.
Patrol and Wilde Engagement
After the transport mission was done, the IMG sent in a light patrol wing to secure the area before starting the prospection mission that was scheduled for today. They ran into Wilde ships and the situation soon became dangerous.
We lost some Defense vessels, the ALG security wings that came in to support suffered heavier losses even. We managed to take out one of the gunboats and retreat - bloodied - because of the courageous commander of the Aigaion that covered our reatreat.
Omega 55 is hell of a dangerous place. We need to scout it carefully, but the amount of enemy forces in there was intense.
With our losses, only the Supply Mission was successfully accomplished.
The Prospecting Mission had to be postponed after the heavy fighting.
Immediate Search&Rescue Operations had priority and was successful.
The Guild is thankful for your courage. We will tame this system. We have tamed other systems already. All it takes is the unbreakable will to succeed. We have that.
After yesterday's intense fighting, Omega 3 Aland reported large groups of 101st Outcast vessels in the area. Surprised about their presence, we followed them and met them in Omega 9. They were allying with the Wilde and Khara alien vessels.
Bretonian warships were offering no help against the Outcast, but were keeping away the Wilde and Khara a little for a while, until the Wilde was taken out by Hessian Cruisers.
The following engagement was intense, ending in the destruction of several vessels on both sides.
In the end, the 101st Sabres were pushed out of Omega 9 and retreated to Freeport 1, where a few of them docked.
Meeting BAF at Freeport 101 and Staking Claims
I boarded the Biscayne Bay, Battlecruiser class, to meet the Admiral of the Bretonian Armed Forces. The meeting started in a calm manner and we proceeded to inspect the system and the claims. The Admiral wanted to see the Omega 55 hole and that is where we were ambushed.
BAF / IMG Battlegroup Ambushed at the O55 hole
The group was ambused at the O55 hole by a large Corsair battlegroup. IMG Cruisers, together with ALG and IMG escorts, combined with the BAF warships were able to take out 2 Corsair Cruisers, 1 gunboat and 1 snub. The BAF group suffered some losses after losing contact with the main group in the nebula.
The Biscayne Bay suffered damage, but managed to hold herself well against the Corsair threat. It will be back in action in around 36 hours.
Wilde Attack
Wilde forces, around 5 bombers, attacked the BAF and IMG forces that had retreated after the Search&Rescue Operations. They uncloaked bombers and attacked. The destroyed a gunboat and a fighter, losing a bomber and a gunboat after IMG and ALG wings chased them off the Freeport and into O55.
Mission assessment:
Security operations were successful, even though we suffered a number of losses.
Diplomatic Operations were successful, even though the group was ambushed.
Combat Operations need to be conducted carefully. The nebula have proven to be very tricky. Furthermore, we need to try to cut down on daily losses.
My name is Markov Kopitar, I am one of the transport pilots of the IMG. I flew the Uruz Battletransport under the callsign of IMG|Koppaberg.
I have been working hard and doing my job well these passed few days, my first supply run to Freeport 101 was flying alongside Julia Morrows. She was teaching me the basic's of this run as I am new to the guild.
All together I dropped of a total of 1290 Food Rations, 1290 Oxygen and 1300 Water, ontop of that this fine pilot 15,520 of Reinforced Alloys to Freeport 101.
On second to last trip was bought to a halt, by a Molly Destroyer. Callsign Golden.Rush. First of all, this Molly stopped Julia Morrows, and then stopped me while proceed through the jump hole from Omega 9 to Omega 3 were this Molly Destroyer was sat.
All together we was taxed 19 million for two empty transports. We both paid up instead of be shot down. Julia was carrying 20 crew men I believe which were origanlly for Freeport 101, but was unneeded at that moment, so she was going to take them back to Freeport 1 for safety and security, food and water.
All guncam images taken will be uploaded at the end of the transmission.
I flew with Julia back to Freeport 101, where I picked up my final load of Reinforced Alloy. But before I did dock on Freeport 101, he kept an eye on that Molly destroyer. The Molly broke Freeport 1 No Fire rule, and destroyed small patrols close by and also Koppaberg took a few hits to it's shield, lucky for me my shields were strong enough to with stand the fire power that Molly fired.
Moments later the Molly docked with Freeport 1, but was firing within 500m of the port. Was very unsure how those Zoners let that Molly dock after firing within 5k but within 500m, wow they are some insane Zoners on there.
Guncam images of this will be uploaded at the end of this transmission.
Firstly, While I was supplying Freeport 101 I encounter a few very unfriendly ships towards myself. While supplying Freeport 101 I encountered that Molly Destroyer that goes by the transponder Golden Rush. That damned Molly pirated me once again for 5 million credits while I had nothing in my hold. I was half way through completing what was needed and that was when this Molly stopped me around 15k from Freeport 1 in Omega 3.
There are a few guncam images going to be uploaded at the end of the transmission.
Secondly, my last run to Freeport 101 with Reinforced Alloys and I get stopped by an AI Drone. It was a huge thing, it seemed to lack any knowledge though or was unable to communicate. I only managed to get one line out of it, It looked to me like a cruiser sized AI Drone. I was completely unsure, this drone of some sort, stopped me 15k from Freeport 101 this time, it disruptored my engines, so I was not able to cruise this distance. Continuing to fly towards Freeport 101, I hit my distress call button on my hud hoping for security or some kind of help would arrive. Reaching Freeport 101 after a little while this AI Drone was still chasing me behind me, firing disruptors to try and attempt me from running, I reached Freeport 101 safetly. But then lost part of my shield, this AI started opening fire on my ship and also hitting the Freeport. The shield went up luckily and reinforcements and security showed up. Luckily for me, I was able to dock soon as the shield went down and then escaped into Omega 3. I wish to thank the IMG Security CO and his crew for saving me and protecting Freeport 101 from this evil robot.
Guncam images of this will be uploaded at the end of this transmission.
