The Iridium is something new I added to this after thinking about what the dangers would be trying to get it. If it was turned on in Delta again, there are 2 options - a VERY dangerous foray through nomad core systems, or the long route through Outcast/Corsair contested space. Either way the Omicrons are going to see some action.
I was asked what sort of transport or mining ship could be used, and I seriously hadn't considered this. If any modelers want to have a try at creating something unique and alien, maybe an alternate skin for a Hegemon or Rock Badger. Something that might fit with those other new ship skins perhaps.
The other option is give the ID a very small mining bonus for iridium and make it worth alot more at the Temple, then it can just be mined in snubloads. Thoughts?

If we are going to see an unique revival of a lost faction in such well scripted manner, I would very much agree with making a new toy for the mining purpose.
It's skin can be a bit alienish, not nomadish and ofcourse moving to Delta for operation would generate activity in Omicron deep spaces. At least, we could see Nomads in Omicrons again, rather than seeing & encountering them in House spaces, Taus, Omegas all the time
The later idea is pretty okay. But I personally feel the former idea of making a new model would be nice. As, in-game, the miner might always need help of some snubs, to properly make it through to the fields and back.
With the loss/repurposing of the Temple of the Eidolon (what's with that?), I have removed the Omegas from the ZOI, leaving just Omicrons and Taus as that would have been the only place to restock Etherium vessels aside from Omicron 82. The justification is that as they are Iridium-dependant they would die going out of range of these nearby systems without some sort of contingency to back them up.
While it needs just a little bit more expansion and refining, this is a unique idea, like Chase mentioned.
I would also suggest to put Wild with Nomads, they are basically the same race, and you would suggest that race advanced like the Etherium would be able to discover their true nature quite easily.
EDIT: I do, however, see one huge problem with this idea. You dictate the lore of what is supposed to be the major antagonist in the game, by telling what happened with the nomads that were cast away.

Other areas of the galaxy have also been plagued by those known as the Nomads, and while Trent waged his war against the Nomad fleets in Sirius Sector, another battle was raging far across the stars. The Battle for Etheria.
I want to be perfectly clear here. In no way am I tinkering with Sirian Nomad lore. Originally, yes, that is how it was written, but after bringing this idea here it was made clear to me that was one of the first things that would need to change.
I have reworded that paragraph slightly to make things a little clearer.
It may look like like I am trying to paint the Nomads as intergalactic badguys or somesuch. But it is all a matter of perspective. The Etherium are trying to justify their actions. They believe they have saved their race and that is what they tell themselves to justify having left a planet full of Etherium to perish. But another view on it might be that they have abandoned their entire race and left them to die.
EDIT: After being given an idea from a member of the community I am going to try writing this again from an Etherium survivor's point of view. This will allow me to convey more of the "feel" of the Etherium.
It seems well thought out for an alien race the seem well balanced and not out for total domination it would make for good RP a New alien faction with alien tech to encounter would add a new dimension piloting Sirius, rather than remaking an already established race the phantoms have there place in the universe some thing new would be cool!!

I couldn't manage to figure the problem, can you please explain it ?
I had this understanding that the script was written as per what happened to the inhabitants of Etheria when the Nomads attacked. Those that came with the Hyper-gate. This still shows the Nomads to be the antagonist. -- Correct me if I am wrong

It dictates where these nomads have gone. You can't do that, since the mod lore, could, potentially have their come-back and by having this chunk as your lore, you prevent them that ability.
The idea has been run by the K'Hara, and Treewyrm as the dev for the Nomad lore. -- Granted that was between the two of them for a short amount of time, instead of myself, although I am aware of the general situation.
We will step in if things become to a point that is unacceptable, but for the time being, the idea will be entertained. If anything brings discrepancies in the future of the Nomad Lore, we'll say something against the idea.

Please quote the offending text. Because it actually doesn't say that at all. What it does say is that on the same day that Trent was fighting against the Nomads of Sirius, another group of Nomads invaded the Etherium via hypergate technology. I stress again that these are not the Nomads that Trent has banished from Sirius, they are a new and previously unintroduced group entirely (and if any of the Nomad gang decide they want to adopt that lore further on for their own ends, that will be up to them, not me).
Was this some sort of synchronised attack by the Daam K'Vosh to wipe out Sirius and Etheria at the same time? I haven't answered that, but have purposefully made it look so. I only left the part about Trent and the Nomad war at the start to show the timeline of events as this it was about this time the Temples first appeared. Sorry if there is any confusion.
