You certainly haven't looked well enough. [ALG] basically invaded IDF and Burgundy.

Active mining in Gallia is restricted to Aluminium (Picardy), Beryllium (Tau 23), Scrap (generally Burgundy and IDF but not restricted to).

Other fields do produce ore but in such very small amounts that you will die of old age/boredom before filling a Rock Badger let alone a 5ker.
