Why does the gunboat never get any cool stuff?

BS's and cruisers get monster shields, inferno cannons, Battle Razors and Mortars.

What does a Gunboat get apart from bad handling?

I'd like to see more interesting equipment for Gunboats.

Reduced versions of the battle razor and inferno cannon would be much appreciated.

Gunboats are my favourite ships...but atm i dont fly in one for many reasons....mainly for too slow and easy pray for uber fighters...and to weak to do any serius damage to cruisers...better weps for gunboats ...that is way to go

Im a big fan of the Liberty Gunboat but at the moment its just not worth it. Gunboats handle like their bigger cousins, yet they have neither their shield nor their firepower.
Why fly a Gunboat when a Cruiser handles better and is equipped with much better shield and weaponry?

BUT what you have said is so true.

How can a Gunboat which is like HALF the size of a Cruiser, handle like a cruiser!

IMO, that is not very fair on us gunboat fans.

very valid point f2k, I happen to agree with you on that, I also like the Liberty Gunboat, but as you said, It handles like the crusiers and bs's, but doesnt have the firepower nor the shileds to take them on (as it should be) or for that matter, an uber figher (which in reality, should be there main purpose, to take out fighters so the bigger ships can handle the bigger oppnets*)

YAY.

I have been talking to Igiss, and he has agreed to make the Light Mortar suitable for use on Gunboats.

Also, this isn't a definite but Igiss also said he MAY increase the manueverability of gunboats A BIT. Not loads.

But anyway, YAY!
