Increasing shield batts by 10 would only allow shields to regenerate, like what? 1 time more.

If such a thing would be done, then shields would have to use less batts, otherwise you'd run out of them in a few moments.

Uh. Shields regenerate on their own, that's kind of what makes shields shields, and not hull.

Real men, of course, turn their shields off in combat.
