He travelled over the Far East to learn storytelling from many old masters.
The story, as all stories are throughout history, has remained liquid in some aspects and solid in others.
So, sure some things have changed from when he wrote them the first time, many have not.
It's his story - it's only yours because he chose to share it publicly.
Watch it - whine about it, whatever.
In most cases on these forums, the last 3 movies/parts were written before you were born.
So I suggest you get used to it.
And anyone lucky enough to have been alive in the late 70s has probably seen the original ripped-off graphic novels before they were sued into oblivion.
And we know who really balances the force, who their parents are, and that there's some huge drama to come.
