I don't see any reason why a treaty with gallia will damage that "relation". You already shoot navies and police, it looks like the civilians dont care what you do with them.
ok first im not looking for an ally, im looking at trade. lets see how it pans out, im not going all gallia on you but im looking at filling the coffer's....i cant get a trade pact with bretonia, liberty, kusari etc so which major house could i trade with? Why would Lucas Stone have an issue with trading with Gallia, is its an ends to a means? The Hellfire need a push, if its DW going down the road of commerce and trade to supply them with credits etc then they need to find a way. Next is the fact while its true we wouldnt be able to dock, that wouldnt stop us having a trade outpost in Gallia.
Also i think people are under the impression HF dont need money, they do...not all things are free. They dont live in none money zone, if they did that would be fantastic. But everything in system and out costs credits.

Oh, like that would be enough for HF to give up their main agenda, right? Seems you missed the point. Hellfire fights FOR the people while fighting against the Navy. It's the same reason why Council won't pirate Gallic corps, even despite we are in need of cash to get our movement rolling as well. Instead we look for other means. I'm curious what other alternatives exactly DW Lead considered and for what exact reasons discarded before coming to the conclusion that DW should trade with Gallia.
The destruction of the Liberty Navy and the replacement of the Libertonian Government.
Would the "replacement of the Libertonian Government" part mean it is to be succeeded by Gallic reign then? Because commercially working together with the Kingdom will get you further to exactly that, your hostility against the Navy speeding up the process even more.
That is bullcrap too, Xenos shooting foreign commercial vessels because they are foreign while they themselves trade with foreigners in the same time is hypocrisy at best.
I don't think the Xenos care if they appear hypocritical. They're screwing with foreigners' profits and making their own profits from deals on the side with similarly malicious folk.
Hellfire are (in many ways), Xenos with military training and Lane-hacker/Liberty Navy/Border Worlds jury-rigged equipment. Since all Disco human groups have real-world analogues, you could compare them to extreme far right US republicans or union secessionists.
Please remember, D-W may be attempting to play Gallia here, along with Gallia attempting to play D-W. Give them the benefit of the doubt and lets see what they do before we try and Oorp'ly shut it down.

Let me just step in on behalf of a lot of veterans and say that's one of the most hideously inaccurate summaries I've seen all year.
