If they kicking back in Sol, it is possible they did. InRP it was stated that Pluto survived, if that is the case, then it might be possible the SCRA survived there and colonized the remains of the planets (Kinda like living in the rocks around the solar system). I mean its possible, if you look at a game called Miner War's 2081, the star of the solar system destroyed all planets however people now live in massive asteroid bases that house all nations around the dying star still.
I mean don't say its not possible, for all we know, the last 800 years we have not been in the system, the Coalition could of fully taken over the remains of the star system and now live in massive bases built into rocks.

Oh god, why? Why do people still think Nomads are restricted to Sirius? What do you think, what that god damn Nomad Hypergate in the middle of the Dyson sphere is/was for? Decoration? What do you think, why is it called a "gate"?

yeah i have read the war for sol but some people dont really accept that story conclusion
Such as myself. I find that story really awkward and illogical. Nomads were 'sleeping' untill humans arrived to Sirius and woke them up. So how could one of nomads come to Sol? And if they have that ultimate kind of weapon, why they havent won the Nomad war? And why they even waited 800 years before attacking humans once again? They had better chances on killing sleeper ships at the beginning.
The creators of a game havent made that Sol part as canon lore. Disco did however. It claims that Sol is dead.
But no-one trully knows that inRP. So Sirius Coalition still claims that Sol is alive and that Sol Coalition owns a place and prepares to come to Sirius to aid SCRA.
I think the first reason why the nomads didn't use the super weapon is because of the close proximity to their star systems so if lets say they destroy new york the shockwave of the supernova or gamma radiation might destroy their bases.
THe second reason why they didn't use it might be because of the many Ruins of their masters since siruis was pretty much the home of the dom'kavash empire and many of their remnats still remain so destroying the stuff they were protecting would be stupid.
About the nomads attacking the sleeper ships well as much as i know the nomads found out about human settlers when rheinland discovered that dust ball next to the dyson sphere
*EDIT*
Quote:And one more thing. Why would the nomads attack the sol system when its not in their programming ( maybe just for the lols ?)
If I remember correctly, the nomads saw humans as 'animals of war'. Being that they moved to destroy them. Remember in the story they say the nomads/daam'k own a spider web network of systems. The dyson sphere in the Omicrons is only an OUTPOST really inRP and OORP. Sirius as a whole is really just an outpost to the nomads.
More over, the nomads in Sirius were 'sleeping' all those years till the Rheinland Explorers woke up a hive of them in the Omicron Major planet and they became in infected
However remember being a spider web connection, some of the nomads were asleep as the Sirius sector is a 'nesting grounds' for the younger nomads (if you understand what I mean by that). And else where in space, nomads are fully awake and alive.
Okay if they are everywhere how did they not detect the sleeper ships those things were traveling for years and the britonia was liping towards serios.
Also i deny the fact that the dyson sphere was an outpost it has no logic for it to be an outpost its a massive waste for resourses plus in the sphere there are artifical oceans that means they had massive cities there
if u want an outpost u would build somthing small the dyson saphere is defended like a fortress

Humans have already discovered hundreds of them and in truth, the nomads get pissed yes, however they still really do control them. such example is that all gates and trade lanes are based off nomad lanes and gates (inRP anyways)
Gates were based on Dom tech yes but i have never heard that the Dom.K used lanes

[color=#FFA500]Nomads are enemies of everything besides to their former masters. If the nomad's masters controlled a web way of space, it is very well possible that the Sol sector might of been part of their space and as such destroyed it because they didn't the humans to get their hands on their stuff. Kinda like what happened with Toledo.
This does not explain how they could turn the stuff on since most of the artifacts are off as much as i know the nomads cant replicate the devices.
Also how could sol be a part of their space should the factions of sol detect them ?
What motive did the nomads have to suddenly warp in and shoot the Sol system dead with their massive sunslaying cannon? There was no interaction for the thousands of years prior, so, just, why?
The 2003 official regular release did not feature this introduction and it's widely regarded as noncanon in the original FL.
The original game doesn't say anything about the Coalition anymore, after the sleeper ships left Sol.
However, there's the extended intro where a Nomad ship blows up the sun pretty much the second the sleeper ships leave. So there, the Coaltion is presumably annihilated completely along with the remnants of the Alliance. I don't know if it's canon though.
The beauty of all of this is that it leaves a lot to the imagination. There's plenty of room for improvisation of the plot line. For example: Has it occurred to anyone that the Superweapon was more of a bomb? Hence there being little or no remains of said weapon following detonation, thus explaining it's non-re-use. Then again it could simply be one of those one-shot pistol jobs, one shot is all you get because the sheer force of the payload ruins the discharge mechanism.
Who says the coalition didn't send off their own desperate colonisation mission?
Who's to say jump holes didn't start cropping up all over Sol allowing the commies to start their own little franchise in Proxima Centauri?
The truth is no-one knows; and nobody can say for sure despite what the many lores of Discovery state. These facts touch on the core of Microsoft Freelancer role-play and it's really up to any brave individual to decide for themselves how it affects them.
I'm going to speak as an old SCRA player. The Sol Coalition is officially deceased, the S.C.R.A. or Sirius Coalition only survives due to the saboteurs that snuck aboard the Hispania and agents on-board the Rheinland & Bretonia. The Coalition Government maintains the illusion to it's citizenship that the Sol Coalition still exists but it too far at the moment to aid their struggle so the Sirius Coalition must 'Pave the Way' as it were for the Sol Coalition to take over once the SC have completed their mission.
The High Command of the Sirius Coalition knows that Sol has gone byebye due to Grand Admiral McIntosh's expedition to Sol years ago and are keeping it hush-hush from the population of Omega-52 until they can determine a good time to release the information that wouldn't harm the Coalition's morale too much.
I do not know if there are surviving pockets of Coalitioners still living in Sol underground in asteroids or the hulks of dead worlds, but I wouldn't discount the possibility for such RP by both ambitious Roleplayers or Devs. In the meantime however until such an ambitious person comes forth the Sirius Coalition are the only REAL Coalition threat in Sirius.
