I will give my small contribution to this and its pretty straight forward.
About the chef analogy, if you work for free, someone complains and you don't like it, please don't do it then because there is no way to please every person on earth so you are GUARANTEED to have some complaints.
And about what Aerelm said, a lot of us have given plenty of ideas over these past few months and most of it we never see take form in any way. This makes you give up. One example would be Karst's continuous attempt at making scrap and toxic waste commodities for ALG a decent commodity to mine and trade. He basically did all the work for you guys and nothing happened.
And one last thing, sorry but I feel the admins have become pretty biased as of late. The things you say clearly show that your personal issues with certain people are getting in the way of you making proper decisions regarding them. I may be wrong, but you sure give that impression.
Other than that, still wishing for the server lag issues to be fixed. Its still spiking.

Restrict it to a format wise thing, a simple format. Keep out the flames, and we can have people shouting out politely what they want, instead of doing the same in a very flaming and harsh way, that creates a chaos, like in the two threads that came out today. And dont allow others to debate upon ones opinion in that thread.
tl;dr make a thread for changes that people want to shout out, and keep out the flames.
Still can relate Quinns idea to this one. Why not open a thread and get inputs from the community. Thread which is similar to the Bug, balance thread, with a certain format for submitting ideas, and to keep out flames.
So, that the community can actually see that they have an influence over the changes and no one can argue with a change, if it is done this way, getting community input.
Condense popular systems such as core Lolberty, Bretland, Omegas/Rheinland. Leave Gallia the way it is for those that like to explore, same for Kusari.
Remove the crap that you folks thought up to minimize player interaction between oc's/sair's. Yes, I'm talking about bringing back the faster passageway between alpha and gamma.
Get rid of this crap with Gallia fighting both Bretonia and Liberty. Both are more populous than Gallia. It's fine in RP but not in-game, in my experience. Figure out what exactly you want to do with Liberty if they're not fighting Gallia. Perhaps they fight Kusari, who knows.
Bring back a Dublin-esque mining rush. Mining is far too divided, I can tell because I don't get pirated at all when I mine. Back in the day, even at night when player count was kinda close to our peak, I couldn't avoid getting pirated while mining. I don't care what it is. Tau's, Dublin, Humboldt, whatever. Make mining be less about money and more about interaction.
Ban POB's being nearby important PoI's (points of interest) such as holes, gates, mining fields. In terms of the latter, 30k is a solid number from the same-side edge of the field. Even better would be banning ores from being sold to POB's. All it encourages is mindless money grinding rather than actually buying or selling your cash commodity to a player and getting some RP out of it.
Remove the two hour death in a system rule. We want to encourage player saturation in systems, not discourage it. However, keep the rule that prevents said ships from attacking their destroyers.

There's already a whole section with its own colorful subforums for that.

People tend to complain about this and that in some distant skype chat and within their rather small circle of skype friends, get hyped up about it, rage, call devs names, etc etc, while at the same time only vaguely referencing the subject on forums, and of course from their own point of view they're voicing their concern as loud and clear as they can, while in reality they haven't even mentioned it anywhere "visible", which is why people with complaints and suggestions are always advised to gather their thoughts on whichever subject, drop em all in one post and preferably also link that post to a dev to make sure it won't be missed, then they'll just have to be patient until they see the results of their post in the next update - which also applies to the post Karst made. The thread was brought to dev team's attention after the release of update 6, and update 7 is not out yet, so it's quite impatient and unreasonable of you to say "Karst did all the work for it and nothing happened". I like your avatar, so please be less impatient and unreasonable.
P.S: Sorry for stealin the last bits of attention you were trying to get with this thread, Reid.
