Quote:Though, I think I remember Congress having RP with the exiles? I can't speak for the Congress, though they might get involved with the exiles.
They tried to buy us an artifact but failed, congress dont really like the emperor.

I would love this!
Quote:Another point was that he believes that the Dragons wouldn't be able to pull such a feat of holding half of Honshu in their current situation if they didn't have not only the support of GMG, but also that of Kishiro. He also pointed out that KNF would be quick to act to retake Yukawa Shipyard from the weal aggressors.
BD would have full support from junkers for sure. Junkers and BD are friendly since begins and it would be the best option for junkers to have a step in kusari.
Quote:3rd side: Revolutionaires
GMG - They seek to achieve territorial gains like their ancestral home Honshu.
Blood Dragons - unmmissable occasion to raise their own revolution and in effect cease Kishiro and Samura interference.
The Order - Heaven's Arch vulnerable more than ever. Possibility of installing Order-friendly government.
Golden Chrysanthemums - Finishing off their enemies in corporation. Their chance at adjusting Kusari culture once in power.
Holding Honshu, Okinawa, Chugoku
Supported by: Rheinland? (Wish to retain H-Fuel access)
I think you can add junkers, like they are friendly to GC and BD even if they dont really like order (you don't like to catch me in omicron, right? )
Anayway, i really like all your ideas guys, it's really great work!
I don't think junkers have the unity or resources to be major players in the war. Maybe mercenaries, but this seems a little out of their bounds as they have no bases in Kusari in the first place.

Well, i think more in an economical assistance. We have scrap, we have money, and we are smugglers. All what need BD like they already have good fighters i think. Sure we cant challenge a state, but we can still have more economic power than BD + GC, and it's what they need (i think).
And to finish, we are pleased to kill hogs and samura
Perhaps, in the interest of getting a foothold into Kusari markets and hurting the Hogosha, the Junkers would invest themselves somehow into a Kusari civil war?

Well, i am a junker in my heart, and it's sure i would. We have only advantage to do this. If we lose, we just lost some money and piece of scrap. But if we win... we have a new house where etablish us, new market, and stronger friends. i dont see any reason for junkers to stay out of this war. And yes, kill some hogs is a great honour too
Sounds great. I like it, perhaps remake... Honshu as a Shogun system (merge them with the Blood Dragons or whatever), while the rest are republican. After that...
I don't play anymore, sorry, but I guess I peek in from time to time still. While this shouldn't be viewed as written in stone since I don't play anymore, I do know a thing or two of GMG lore and their mentality. Whomever brought up the point about the Corsairs and the gaping hole it would make should GMG become involved in a conventional war outside it's territory is correct. Good thing GMG doesn't do conventional war, it's military successes were based on unconvetional warfare. But I see the point and agree, GMG wouldn't itself go out on the march. It's long been funding a fleet to do just this for decades, slowly helping them stockpile and even training their pilots - the BD. It's safe to assume GMG's role will primarily be resources, logistical and technological infratructure, reliable uninterupted comms, management of intel etc... brainy and expensive supportive stuff. But yeah from time to time I can see planned operations in which GMG dispatches a special squad of GMG snubs to pull an ambush in some Nebula in Kusari every now and again when needed. But yeah the core of GMG's paramilitary forces still need to guard the Sigmas. Good thing GMG been doing this covert double dealing thing for a long time and are well practiced at managing it all simultaneously.
As to which side? Hard to say. It's plausible for GMG to remain somewhat loyal (as loyal as a shady group can get) with the Republicans even though their ill advised trade sanctions is also hurting GMG too and GMG should (if they are proper GMG) have some metaphorical belt nearby and notching it with each slight the reformed Kishiro has done in the past few yrs, because well these guys are grudge holders. There's a well argued series of events that I agree would result in GMG returning back to partnership with Samura. I once said it would take extraordinary circumstances and I did end up later receiving a pitch that would satisfy the requirements. And of course there's the possible belief that the Hideyoshi could succeed in seizing the throne in some ingenious maneouvre while the other two are heavily tied up. It's hard to say, ultimately GMG wants a neighbour that neither shows up in it's space from time to time claiming it as no longer GMGs, nor do they want a neighbour that keeps shutting down fuel trade going through their space everytime their leadership wets their pants.
Honshu is like a wet dream, but even if GMG gained it and touted out to the public about the GMG population already currently on that planet it would still be a long process to truly gain control of Honshu. I can see GMG trying...succeeding? Bit iffy. Kurile, yes and it be one of those 'strike while the iron is hot' kind of things the very moment they see an oppotunity where little no support will appear, pop. The forces are ready and itching. There's more then just that planet at stake in GMG's eyes. They want to secure that area and complete their highway to the Zoners and also to pave the way for GMG expansion. I'm actually pretty certain GMG would go for Kurile no matter whom they chose to ally with, they'd even do it to Samura's face on the same day they shake hands to partner up again. Between Beta and Kurile resources and their new growing experience in terraforming, GMG sees a market they can get into.
Well, whatever is chosen, it can be fair to say that GMG's involvement will be based on selfishness and greed. Even the funding and training of BD that's been ongoing for decades, at it's root is selfish greedy motivations that needed to be satisfied before GMG stopped turning them down. (Please note that this greed will not prevent fuel from stopping, even if Kusari itself becomes an opponant, the fuel continues. GMG is sensitive the fact that if ever the fuel stops flowing it could bring more then one house on it's head as civilians begin dying by the millions because there's no fuel to transport the food, water and oxygen to planets and stations that don't naturally produce these. It would be an atrocity.)
Here are some ideas of events with BD in main faction. This events have to happen before any change of devs. I only did Honshu for the moment, need to see for Hokkaido/Nagano.
Honshu
Osaka Storage Facility -- Samura Industries (chance for BD to win: 90%)
Since trade lane between Okinawa jump and planet Honshu has been built, Osaka Storage facility lost a lot of economic power. However, it stays the most important storage facility of Honshu system. This station will be the first target of BD station during their attack on Honshu to take the control of the system. Being close of Hikone base and without a lot of defense ship, the attack of BD will be done to invade the station without too much damage. The first wave of invader will be made of fighters (LF, HF and VHF) and GB. The second wave will be a transport full of soldier to take the station escorted by 2 fighters. The transport has 2 lives (2 transports inrp but only one at a time). Samura will have to defend the station with only the police support. The defender wing is mainly made of fighter.
Yukawa Shipyard -- Kishiro Technologies (80%)
The logical second target of the invasion, Yukawa Shipyard is well defended by Kishiro security ships and police. Being the first Shipyard of Kishiro Technologies, BD plan to build and repair their ships here after took it, to help Mito in his task. Yukawa being better defended than Osaka Storage facility, damage to the station will be inevitable. The first task of BD wing will be to destroy flight deck of the station (Launch 50 Torpedoes on the station). The second task will be to protect the assault wing, made of 1 transport and 2 fighters who will dock on the station to take the control. The transport has 2 lives (2 transports inrp but only one at a time). The goal of defender will be to destroy bombers in the first wave and block the transport in the second one.
Akita Border Station -- Kusari State Police (90%)
After have taken 2 principals station of the system, BD want control on the border. They launch an attack to take Akita Border Station and his scanner, who will be helpful during the occupation. Defended by the KNF and the Police, a BS is parked just near the station. The first wave has for task to destroy this BS and clear the area. Station will be taken just after. (Just a pew pew) BD will use one of their cruisers to destroy the BS with a large wing of bombers.
Kamisu Base -- Farmers Alliance (60%)
Hearing rumors like what a Farmers Alliance base is in the area, a small patrol of BD is sent on place. The BD patrol fall in a trap of FA and Hogs. They have to run away of the nebula and call for reinforcement. Hogs and FA have to destroy them before. If BD run away, a large wing of BD come to destroy the station. The goal of BD is to launch 100 torpedoes on the station. The goal of Hogs and FA is to defend it. Only snubs in this battle. If BD wins, the station is destroying (deleted in the update). If Hogs and FA win, the keep the station in next update.
Planet Honshu -- Kusari State Police (60%)
The last goal of BD, Almost all system is under their control, but all remains KNF and police forces retreated to Planet Honshu. BD launches all their fleet to reach the planet and take back what’s belonging to them. The planet is defended by 2 BS and a large win of snubs. BD uses their capital ship and some cruiser plus snubs to attack the planet. The first goal of BD is to destroy BS. Once BS are destroy, Togo and cruisers have to retreat if they are still alive and BD has to Large transport who bring soldier to take control the planet (Player who was in Togo/Cruiser come back in transport). To win, BD has to dock at least 1 transport. More transport they dock better will be their control on the planet in the next update. KNF/Police has to destroy every BD ships in the first phase. In the second, they have to target transport and destroy them.
Kansai Research Station -- Kusari Naval Forces (10%)
BD decides to destroy Kansai Research Station. They launch a big raid against the station made of snubs. KNF had prepares them to receive BD and had posted 1 BS near the station with a large wing of fighter. BD have to destroy the BS and launch 150 torpedoes on the station. KNF have to destroy all BD ships.
Aomori Station -- Gas Miners Guild
Stay GMG, no event.
Hikone Base -- Blood Dragons
Stay BD but can have an event, like a counter strike of KNF.
