Hello,
I renamed my character to add the tag of my occupation but I forgot that spaces are not allowed. Now my character is just named "Mercenary". Would be very kind if someone could bypass my rename time limit. Thank you.

Thanks for the tip but don't I have to reinstall FL for that? Also I think only admins can transfer characters to another ID. Would be easier when they would just reset the timer or rename my character directly. They'd just need to use the server tool. And I guess I'd have to reinstall the game.

Thank you for that but I can't find my account. Do you know where the account folder is? In "My Games/Freelancer" are just the single player saves and in the Freelancer root folder I already searched for xml and adf files.

I know. I got the money, don't worry but thanks anyway for the annotation

When the Discovery Launchpad asks you the first time, to import the already existing account, you should have given yes. If not, try reinstalling it and do as I said. That worked for me, the first time, I installed it.
I'm guessing you haven't used Launchpad before... but either way. Since you haven't, there are no accounts made (To my knowledge, there was none. But I can easily be wrong). As Freelancer normally lets you only have one. Which contains up to 5 characters.
But since Launchpad allows you to have multiple accounts, that restriction no longer applies. (Other than the 5 char max per account)
You simply need to make a new one and your ships should be there... but I am not sure with that. Somebody should clarify that part. (AKA; You play in Disco, make a char or two. THEN make an account through Launchpad. Do the ships go to that one account?)
But then again, you have all the guys here able to help you.

It just asks me to create a new account

That's right. I didn't use it before. I'm going to try it, just to create a account. Thanks.
Edit: Well, I tried any option now, also to create a account but it seems that it can't find anything. No characters there. And when I try to import my account it leads me at beginning to the "my documents" folder and I got no clue where to look for the account files.
Come on, I just want to rename my character! Not to hack the account mechanics of Freelancer...
In any case I found out how it works. Thank you all for your answers...going to report here when I need further help.
Edit: And here we go again...Guess there shouldn't appear any characters when I start FL with the second account. But it also uses my characters.
