No offense intended Golsansky, but I hope you don't mind if people start making jokes about you declaring Synth Foods infected because they created a purple sauce. Because you just earn it.

Hey, I once made a report into Council MD about smuggling Cheese from Quillan to Reims disguised as Copper.

Of course not. So at very first there has to be actual SRP procedures done, the character has to be active, exist and participate. But that part isn't for me to worry about - it's already in place and it's maintained by admins. Secondly not every random effect idea passes through. I exert design decision whether this or that effect will be made, as well as ensuring the effect wouldn't bring down lower end PCs to their knees. If it's reasonable, if it fits the style I strive to maintain as a developer, if it is applicable to your valid SRP character then I don't see a problem why it cannot happen.
Naturally, I was assuming that an SRP request got through with all things it needs to. The second part is what I was mostly interested in, as I am not aware of the limits that Freelancers engine can produce. However, as someone stated before, I was around a few years back, I think the Pershephone was just a new fab in game, but never heared of using "custom made" effects on anything, since a single SRP request took months to go through IF it ever went through ... but that's a different story. So I belive noone really would think (apart from devs) that it is plausible to have anything such.

The RP item (they call it Singularity Drive) is a recent thing compared to the ship itself. That's what it is about. It's not about Persephone ship as in ship model when it was added into the mod. Two different things really. Just happens that they used the unique (or not so) ship as a vessel for the item.
Regarding effects themselves. I have been posting my progress into making custom effect on this forum for half a year already, releasing documentation and tutorials. So it's a common knowledge that we were able to to do custom particle effects for some time already. In fact upcoming omicron update contains a whole bunch of new visual effects.
What is baffling me personally is what stopped them from approaching and asking: "Hey, Yuri, we have this SRP thing going (read here), we'd like a visual effect for it similar to this, to look like this and that. Can you do it?". They all have my skype, they all know what I've been doing lately. Instead they take one distinctive effect in the game, plaster it on their ship and claim it is not what it looks like. And then they make enormous drama bullshit when someone takes an opportunity to say "hey it looks like that thing" inRP.

Are you sure? if its purple its reflect some of the light wave-lenghts that some nomad object does. So there is a strong conection betwen a purple sauce and nomad stuff. Almost as strong as the one that generated this problem.
We should consider discuss about the use of mod related issues as justification for roll play and how much importance give it. If happen once it could happen again. And let's be honest, if an unofficial faction do this we all would laugh and mostly ignore them. But this time the order is involve so the same "argument" could start a war.
This user talks little to none english. If you find something wrong tell him.

What stopped them from doing that is that it was never a problem before. If you're busy doing stuff related to the mod, and they have an effect that they don't mind and HAS NEVER CAUSED A PROBLEM LIKE THIS BEFORE, why would they bother you? As far as they know the problem that has occurred now will never occur.
So in short, they weren't expecting Golanski to Golanski all over it. For good reason, Order core space is pretty much literally the opposite side of Sirius.

You realise that The Order would have to operate all around Sirius to perform it's faction goals, right?

Nothing is to stop them.
Suddenly getting uppity towards a hardcoded ally of yours and not working to preserve the alliance by roleplaying differently and seizing the opportunity to make some more roleplay about The Order coming onboard and scientists studying things was your course of action.
You made hostile roleplay instead of research roleplay. Quite interesting choice.
If anyone actually checks the thread, The Order Admiral character wants to check over the ship, not pew the living daylights out of TAZ. (And check over doesn't mean read your scientific reports, it means making his own.)
Could have contacted Golanski and arranged for that to happen OOC? Did you? You berated me for not contacting you and instead making Parkes flee, so let's hear how you played it.
I don't agree, I think that the sovereignity of Baffin was endangered with The Order's actions, and the defensive reaction is exactly what we would do against it. Just complying would set a precedent and in the future Order would feel free to harrass Zoners whenever and wherever.

I agree with sovereignty unless what you do in your sovereignty is likely to affect things outside your system. (Nomad infection spreading.)
I don't disagree or agree with your roleplay choices in how you reacted to The Order, that's completely your choice.
The main point of that was to point out Sabre's hypocrisy in berating me for not contacting him OOC about Parkes and the whole hunting down/arrest/guns stuff that went down to make things go smoother and without any powergaming-esque actions, whilst on the other hand he did not contact Golanski, and is complaining about the same thing.
I don't think it's the receiving end which needs to contact the other parties in case of a shaky situation, Golanski should have contacted TAZ before any inRP hostility not to end up in powergaming, just like Sabre should have contacted the parties to make sure the whole security lockdown won't end up in powergaming, or at least the participants won't feel so/would be assured of different intentions.
