Well....here's that moment for me then.
If you wanted an opinion on revising the prices (as you DID say they were subject to further fine-tuning), I'd suggest lowering them just a bit. Because it IS kinda ridiculous to have that basically become one of the highest, if not the highest priced mined substance in the game.
I'd suggest the following changes:
Valetta (Omicron Alpha) - 10,000
Tripoli (Gamma) - 12,000
Still keeps it profitable, makes more RP sense (as I imagine Corsairs would have greater demand for it, seeing as they have less access to Premium scrap), and doesn't make Junkers the new "can do everything!" faction.
Also pointing out that I suggested changing this back in May, also. Yay for me!
I'm still in favor of further adjustments:
Valetta - 10k
Tripoli - 12k
Yokohama Shipyard - 6k
Yukawa Shipyard - 7k

Again, like I've said before, Alpha's price needs to be higher because it's much farther than Gamma, and also more dangerous. If those prices went in, nobody would go to Alpha, because it's simply less profitable.
Maybe a nerf is needed, but it should be a linear drop for each one, keeping proportions the same to bring it in line with other ores. But not a flip in prices that has minimal RP background and no ingame purpose (that actually unbalances the commodity further).
It's not really more "dangerous" for Junkers, because they are neutral to almost all the groups along the way that would try to pirate them. As it stands now...almost NO Junkers go to Gamma because the route to Alhpa is that much safer, as Gamma route requires passing through more pirate territory. And still...selling at 10k at Valetta is STILL one of the best prices out there for ANY mined commodity, so I don't see how folks would just stop going there altogether. Certainly, those who still do the Cardamine run would be doing so.
And what is that pirate territory while going to Gamma? Xenos, indy pirates, and now UC, and much more groups can attack the Junkers if they can know the cargo's destination. This is the route to Valetta. Gamma is pretty much the same too. Instead of complaining about lack of dangers, maybe make some indy pirates to pirate them. Being neutral doesn't mean you can't be pirated <insert random Zoners here>

Hmm funny, no dnagers? We have UC gunning for us, have seen many junkers go to gamma, been pirated by corsairs of course, and hessians. But i do agree it should be kncoked down a bit. Would weed out all the wanna be junkers who jumped in for the money and show who the real ones are.

Except I'm not complaining about lack of dangers...Mory. I'm giving an explanation about why it would make sense to have sell prices on Gamma higher than on Alpha.
If anything, I'm complaining about over-priced Premium Scrap.
Many people complain about that in the skype chats and some of them have did that here too, kinda. It was directed at those people. Because apparently, they do a lot of talking here, without being the said "danger" themselves.
It's nice to see that premium scrap is worth hauling now, but I think this is way too high, and this is coming from a junker congressman who hauls it all the time.
This is simply far too high. No form of scrap should ever be worth more than 10k anywhere considering the kinds of high-cargo mining transports that scrap mining factions have available to us.
Keep in mind, if you're a junker it isnt really the scrap metal that's making you so much money, it's the black market goods hidden amongst that scrap metal.

Which still doesn't reflect on why the pricing is so high for Premium Scrap. No "smuggling" goods have that kind of sell pricing. If that were the case, then Premium Scrap shouldn't be selling higher than 7k/ea anywhere.
