The scene with the Chancellor and Jacobi? He doesn't communicate with her telepathically, he talks to her.
To be clear, I'm not making an argument that the Nomads/K'hara can't or shouldn't be doing this. I'm asking where the concept came from and/or how they justify it. "We pulled it out of our butts" would be a perfectly acceptable answer.
I don't know where the concepts came from, one of the lorewriters of the K'Hara would have to answer that, but the examples you have provided were infectees, not 'real' nomads. I believe you have never seen a nomad vessel in the vanilla campain even communicate, so the question was never answered there... I believe it came up later then, in Discovery, but don't quote me on that...

Trogdor, seriously, what's your point behind comparing Wilde, infested humans, with K'Hara, the space jelly form? With the effort you took two different things for an arbitrary comparison you could just as well look for the answer, the actual origin of the telepathy concept, yourself. Look for the Nomad Lore Document somewhere under the K'Hara subforum, and educate yourself. I did so, and I didn't die in the process, so that's another thing you don't need to worry about.
Also yeahno, the telepathic thing was just made up in discovery, there is no such thing in Vanilla 8|
But yeah how else you plan to RP as a nomad anyway in disco? Discovery tried to come up with a reasonable explanation and they've chosen telepathy lel is actually cool.
And yes I've read the nomad lore too, however that's not all Vanilla content (well most of them is, but not all). It's Discovery Lore.
Honestly I would prefer it if they just closed the Nomads as a faction and opened up Wild instead. That would work a lot better than this crappy telepathy thing we have now.
I know if someone tried to RP telepathy with me I would just.. ignore it. That crap really isn't my cup of tea.

Speaking of tea..
The Wild is using telepathy too, it's all nomads main form of communication. Just when trying to prevent others from finding out that someone is infected they use normal human speak. Both incubi and standard nomads prefer telepathy.

This happened to me once too. I always like being hostile to the Nomads. 8|
