I feel like more factions could get some creative smuggling love. We have quite a small amount of illegal commodities considering the potential out there. Illegal alcohol due to pressure from corporations, propaganda that actually trades for a profit, high grade addictive pharmaceuticals, counterfeit goods, counterfeit credits, etc.
I realize this requires a lot of work but honestly, smuggling needs a lot of lovin' in my opinion. We have so many legal commodities and only a few illegal ones. I think we've noticed as a community that having good ore/scrap metal routes coinciding with illegal commodity returns is good for activity both for the smugglers, the miners and the lawfuls trying to intercept their return route.
These new commodities should have similar sell and buy points alongside the usual no-ore routes. Pls gief.
I think there are enough illegal commodities, but if you want more people to smuggle it must me more profitable (It's nearly like legal commodities). Mining is not even half of the risk and is threetimes more proftitable.

I agree with this; no matter how many commodities you make, until the profit of smuggling does not outweight the risk and makes it a good alternative for mining.
Smuggling needs more buffing i do agree and more variety. Surely you can think of more drugs or .... Nuclear devices for instance are not used any more in PoB. They were replaced. Why not convert them to being illegal? Just an example.

As far as I know most of the smuggling commodities have their highest sell point in Liberty for some reason, except BMM and Slaves. Maybe, spread the commodity sell points and buff the prices up a bit? But devs seemingly wont do that unfortunately :\ (that is what I understand from what Xoria said in the thread)
