Subject Title: Project Initiated
All this time of planning, setting up budgets and painfully negotiating with different parties, the project is finally getting somewhere.
The trip to the Bonn station in Berlin had gone quite rather smoothly; a Rheinland Military hardware was acquired from a private dealer without too much trouble. Although the deal stretched the remaining budget thin and the obtained equipment is slightly out of date, nevertheless it is fine a specimen and suitable for the job in hand without having to through the authorities directly.
At the moment, the hardware is currently sitting in the Bonn hanger waiting for the logistics support to arrive and prepare its flight back to Livadia. In the meantime, a message will be sent to Finn McCool regarding the research proposal towards this project. Hopefully he will respond, but will not be surprised if he does not. After all, it has been a long time since our family had spoke to each other, not to mention things ended rather abruptly from the last encounter.
Anyhow, the shipyard needs to prepare and equip for its arrival, too much time has already be wasted or delayed. The project needs to be back on schedule before the "opportunity" passes.

Subject Title: Hardware Delivery
The hardware have arrived on time and without any incident, ground crews have already pre-fitted the hanger and now begin deploying the necessary equipment to service the ship as of this moment.
Early indication and data analysed in the factory office confirms the ship is indeed a Valkyrie class, but it had also discovered the ship was made in the early 8th Century, just after the formation of the Federal Republic. If this is true, this easily could put the vessel nearly 100 years old, much older than we anticipated and unlikely to be suitable for the task at hand.
On the other side, it seems Finn McCool personally replied to the research proposal. Initial response seems positive than expected and hopfully the discussions will remain that way. The main priorities as of this moment are to establish a good link with the IRG, update the vessel's paperwork and to fully inspect the ship in order make a decision as to how the project to proceed.

Subject Title: Change of plans
Our engineers and scientists on board the Shipyard has been busy inspecting the ships systems and decoding the data within the drives.
Unfortunately, the report from the ground crew confirms our worst fears. The manufacturing serial within the boot-up program agrees with the initial speculation, rendering the ship impractical for use in full time operation. On the other hand, the report also indicates the ship is carrying more secrets than it is revealing to us. The nature of this hidden data is not specified but the scientists are currently working on it.
It seems the project will have to take a slight detour, since retro fitting the existing Valkyrie is no longer an option. The engineers have been instructed to map the hull and the internal structures so another prototype ship can be built to take its place. This will take more time and cost, but it will ensure long term operations are undisturbed by any technical or mechanical failures.

Subject Title: Additional Extra
While there have been no significant advancement to the Project in recent days, the scientists tasked with analysing the data have discovered some rather interesting information .
Under a cache of “lost” files, a series of hidden system maps, detailed station information and even images have been uncovered. This includes names of systems and stations that have not been heard of before and very like to be confidential information. Surprisingly, this data is not encrypted; possibly due to the previous owner expected the ship to be scrapped.
Even although this is an intriguing turn of events and warrants further investigation, this information is not mission critical and serves no purpose for us at this moment. The scientists previously decoding the data have now been re-tasked to run simulations on the new prototype ship.

Subject Title: Blueprints
The engineers have finally come back with a blue print for the Proto-type ship; codenamed “Einherjar” from the Rheinland mythology for ghostly warriors.
According to the ship-wrights, the factory should be able to fabricate the ship’s hull and structures with ease due to the simple design and outline. Unfortunately, same cannot be applied to the internal systems. Due to the complexity of Rhineland military specification, they had been unable to find a way to replicate the components.
The project will have to find another way or source to obtain these parts in order to produce a fully functional Valkyrie class.

Subject Title: Special Nomad Tech Acquired
Intel came in few hours ago, the Omicron Delta satellite in sector 4D had been picking up irregular signals of movement within the system. The ground crew back in Livadia hastily prepped the modified recon whale fitted with a cloaking device for launch.
By the time the ship had reached the source, a massive fight of epic proportion had already broken out. Participants ranged from factions across the Omicrons, even the Outcasts and Wilde was present. How this event unfolded remains a mystery at this moment.
The recon mission took longer expected due to FIVE Wilde ships were present in the conflict; two of which was a Wraith class fighter. The scientist on-board began to scan and track these ships as they fought, downloading data on ship equipment, structure and combat logs.
What surprised the team was these wild vessels carried a Nomad Power Cell, this ment the ship external system does not use traditional human power generators. The team also noticed when their ship is severely crippled; the cell would eject from the ship. Initial speculation suggests the vessel has been modified to do this in order to protect the occupant and wait for safe extraction, preventing the ship from a critical failure due to the massive amount of power the cell contains.
The later stage of the mission was to tractor one of these into a whale, but due to heavy cross fire and slow transport manoeuvre made the task hard. There was several missed opportunities but by chance, a cell have been successfully captured the crew. Later analysis showed the cell belongs to a Wilde pilot called Evan Lewis.
On another note, Mr Burton was also in the field and scored two kills against the nomads. "All in a day’s work"would be a perfect summary for the Phoenix in this situation.
