NPC wings for carriers was discussed but ultimately rejected on the basis that we don't want 3 carriers to show up in a fight and spawn 3/6 wings of NPC guard fighters in a pvp fight. Instead we settled for same IFF teleporting.
Here's a more practical idea.
A minimum of 10 people are needed to begin "The Mission"
Admin needs to be present to spawn NPCs.
They are spawned in a system, say, the rheinland one is spawned in Texas.
If they are all destroyed, surviving party members get X amount of credits or special loot or other goodies, which they can share with the other participants if they stick around.
