Some of you know me already, others may not have heard of me before, in either case: greetings.
I am writing regarding a change in the organisation of the Sirius Free Mercantile Committee (SFMC).
Due to a lack of interest from freelance captains in joining the committee my colleague, Mr. Dantes, and I have decided to open membership of the committee to corporations, rather than just individual pilots. This change will mean that most ships currently designated as SFMC will no longer be flying under this designation.
The general aims of the committee will be similar to our previous goals:
- Enhancing opportunities for free trade across Sirius
- Reducing levels of piracy on the trade lanes
As such I would like to invite any commercial organisations who share these goals to sit on the committee and work together for a better Sirius! The function of the committee will no longer be to have an active role on the trade lanes, but to open a forum for debate of issues that affect us all.
The committee will also aim to provide corporations and companies with a network of trustworthy contacts to call on when needed for shipping and protection services.
If any companies, however big or small, are interested in sitting on the committee please respond on this channel.
In the meantime, my ships will be changing their designation to reflect employment by my new company, the Galaxy Group. The group will include Galaxy Logistics & Security (GLS|) and Galaxy Mineral Exploration (GMEx|). Galaxy Group will be represented on the SFMC by myself, and until such a time as our membership votes otherwise I will continue in my role of Acting Chairman.
