To whom it may concern,
My name is Rick Tiltman, I am a member of the Junker's Congress and I have an inquiry. I was recently on board your installation in Omega 7 "Freistadt Base" where I was informed of a wrecked Transport "The Bremerhaven" deep in the Omega 7 Cloud. I was hoping you would have more information regarding the ship. Also, I was informed, aside from the engine damage it suffered at the hands of raiders, it should still be fully functioning. If I could arrange for its movement would it be possible to contract you to do repairs on the vessel to bring its engines back into working condition? I would be more than willing to supply any needed commodities as well as pay any maintenance fees.
My name is Jack Henderson, I am running IMG Operations Coordination.
The "The Bremerhaven" is a Heron train-class, Republican Shipping. It was allegedly attacked by Corsair raiders as it was hauling Engine Components. I could look up the year and the reports, but I assume you are not interested in a history lesson on a lost ship.
To answer your question: Salvaging ship and cargo has been deemed economically unfeasible for the reason that the vessel suffered catastrophic engine failure in the aft section, and the S&R crews have confirmed that it is drifting on a course, at a speed and at a distance that will make the aquisition hard. That's why the Guild never tried.
The conditions are there: If you manage to bring the ship back to an IMG port, we will strip it of the things that are sensitive matters - like the remaining software and data containers - and you can treat the remaining ship as your find. As it used to be Republican Shipping, they might want a say in it - but that is your problem.
Our technicians at Aland are good at fixing all the train variants, so I assume we can find an arrangement there once you managed to get the ship. Depending on the status of the ship and a first assessment of what needs to be done, a price can be found that suits you.
Let's go step by step. Contact me, once you have the ship in your possession close to an IMG base - preferably Aland Shipyard.

Hey there Mr.Henderson Rick here again,
So after getting a little help from one of my buddies in the Congress we got the thing to Aland, if only barely considering the engines completely died as soon as I moored here in the DryDock. Hell the thing almost was crushed in the Jump Gate sequence have you ever seen the inside cabin of one of those trains buckle slightly? Ill put it like this very very unnerving. Now for the big question price, what kind of bill am I footing here? What kind of commodities am I going to need to bring in? Give me a check list and Ill get it all to Aland as fast as possible.
PS: As for the Republican shipping thing, when I started the ship up, its transponder almost blew up so, I am not all too concerned Ill cross that bridge when I need to.
I am Jane Holstin, we have quickly met when you put the ship into the dry dock. I have your damage assessment here and also the list of things that will be needed, as far as we can oversee it. The engines are completely gone and will have to be replaced. Hull integrity is not what it should be, but that should be possible to fix by adding another layer of Hull Components and reinforce the fuselage. All the electronic equipment is hopelessly outdated and corroded, so I assume you will have to have it replaced.
Focussing on the bare essentials first, I would say that you can start getting these:
4000 units of Engine Components
3000 units of Hull Segments
3000 units of Ship Hull Panels
5000 units of High Temperature Alloy
15000 units of Polymers
5000 units of Shape Memory Alloys
10000 units of Ablative Armor Plating
If the Guild has to get these repair commodities, the bill will be high. Don't faint: 40 million for the material, if we get it. None, if you get it and pay for it.
We'll see how far we get and what the restoration process unveils. Hey and, if you want to cut down on the cost, I'll expect you to meet you there in Hangar 3B-2. Junkers are known for their skill and I have a few green technicians that could likely learn a thing or two from you.
Depending on how long repairs take us, we'll see how many working hours you'll have to pay for. If you do your part, and if you teach my new guys something, I might be able to cut you a good deal there.

Hmm alright, everything seems good but I do have a small problem. Those Ship Hull Panels, my records indicate 2 primary Sell points. Stokes Smelter and Planet Kyushu. There in lies the problem, Stokes was taken over by GMS a few months back and well, its pretty well known that Kusarians have a rather strong distaste for Junker-kind. So if I were to request that the Guild supply the Ship Hull Panels only would it still be the 40 million? Can we renegotiate the price? While you think about that I will begin the movement of the other materials.
It's alright. You get the repair materials - except the Hull Panels. Hull Panels can be rather easily supplied by the Guild and it will not change flight schedules massively as the amounts are rather small anyway.
The costs would obviously be lower, as you would be doing most of the flying and we can deduct material costs. Therefore, only the leasing of hangar space, worker's wages and Hull Panels would be on your bill. I'd say, 20 million credits should be fine. How does that sound to you, Sir?

Hey there Jane, sorry bout the long wait, been tied up in Puerto Rico with a lot of bureaucratic paper work, I am sure you understand. However I finished gathering those supplies, with a little help from Bill Hickok.
Now that that is out of the way I believe the last thing I need to do is to send some credits your way. If I could know which account to wire the funds to, you will find them there with promptness.
It's been a while and I almost forgot that we still have to take care of the monetary side. You can wire the 20.000.000 credits to IMG|Guildfunds. Thank you for reminding me, this would have reflected badly on my section at the end of the assessment period. Anyway, I hope you are content with the results.
