As unlawfuls, you should really be pirating along the lanes (which had their guns removed) instead of the Solar objects (Gates/bases/Planets), If they reach these then those are the places where they have the advantage. While for Piracy it is a disadvantage, you shouldn't feel safe in continuing or instigating piracy at these objects.
Someone at a base and refusing to leave it (hugging it) aren't obligated to come out and fight you. you shouldn't even be around these objects as unlawfuls. Just because its a disadvantage for one side, doesn't mean it needs to be removed or nerfed.

Otherwise I would have troubles hiding behind Westpoint from 4 Scyllas and two OC BSs.
You can always just run down the tradelane, or make distance since they're capital ships?
The pulses just encourage immense base/gate hugging, and are also counter-productive to piracy (at the gates). The standard turrets can still whittle down a ship, but the pulses are overkill.
Why should 4 scyllas and 2 OC BS's feel safe in sitting on top of westpoint?

With the exception of bases, gate piracy created a lot of activity. Base hugging is extremely scummy. This is an RP and PvP server, not an RP and PvE server.

The other turrets can still shoot at them. Furthermore, isn't it the job of the player lawfuls to clear them up?
Lyth, the only difference here is that if the LNS decided to roll the same force into, say, Cassini, you too would like to have a safe heaven for the caps not to get you.
You know. Because it is your guard system.
Same idea applies. Players should feel safe near their installations. If they are not near them, the ''space is dangerous'' rule applies.

That's a guard system. That's different.

When people continually hug it however it is immensely annoying.

Yeah, just stay safe near the lane, the pulse cannon won't hit you there. And when you ''move out'' you can avoid easy the pulse. And also it helps a lot of other players
