I hoped I will never have a strong reasons to say it, but I am leaving Discovery because I lack good large scale and long term roleplay, and.. good RP at all. Disco has became ridiculous for me. Things happeing without forum and ingame RP (Liberty victory over Rheinland - Rheinland officials cowardly accepting this and not bothering to solve it... You know who I am talking about, ya N__? My Elbe construction 'experiment' was proof of my worries.) I am no longer enjoying this game as I used to. This is supposed to be roleplay server, so I would expect official faction to have some influence over the storyline.. But now I believe that the only plus of baing in some oficial faction is having some fancy tag. I know devs are the storytellers here, but it bothers me a lot, having factions without power.
~Fix the above mentioned errors and many, many, and many other and I -MIGHT- reconsider my decision to leave.
Need to give some kudos to these people and groups:
-xhunterx, for being a good to fight with or agains, on many, many fronts including Rheinland-Liberty!
-Dimon, for having fun with in the D9|.
-Wallenstein, same as with xhunterx.
-Conrad, for being a good faction leader and good person at all. Long live the Nomads! (:
-Charos, for making [HF] live cancer of Disco (complement). I have had a lot of fun there.
-Lobster, for leading the BDM| for some time, despite the fact being inactive last months. You have reasons to be like that, but when you were in, it was allways enjoyable to fly my U- Fafnir.
-LordVipex, for discussing an idea of player influented event around the Münster base module. You are only developer who bothered to talk about it with me. Thumbs up!
-Thunderer, for having some funny duels with you! RNS-Obelix and the CNS-Tauromachia, both ships were having a bad time everytime meeting you. Once I killed you and my ego boosted up, until you killed me again C: It was allways fun to fly alongside you on the same side too, hearing your jokes about everything, mostly the cannibal Corsair RP.
-Pammy, for having fun flying with ya. We may met more than I know ingame, because you are literally everywhere (:
-SkyNet, We have had a lot of fun together. Forum and ingame RP, raid, everything... And you are the CNS-Cotra so...
-Treewyrm, for being Harbie.. flying alonside it was allways enjoyable. Also you gave me a little bit hard joining test (: Keep this test like it is, don't make it simplier.
-Adytia, for being the RNC-Predator, damn good Donau, once I killed you. Texas raid were fun when you were in.
-Shinju, for having fun with as a Nomad, Outcast... [HF]... I don't think 'having fun' in your way *giggles* Also for having the super Turtle, which is not as sexy as my Murmillo anyways.. (:
-Rouge/Institute, for being the best Nomad to fly with and against. We have had a lot of fun together.
-karl, for having fun killing your Geb and Hathor again and again with my Nomad ships.
-Shaggy, for drinking a lot of rum with ya hermano and for boosting up The Bortherhood and corsair activity at all, keep it up!
-APDAF, for fun on the Rheinland-Liberty Raids and in the BD| ranks. Kaiserin (;
-Snake, for calling me 'Unsure' and having a lot of fun with you mainly as a Nomad.
-Yuki, for giving me a lot of advices when I was joining the K'Hara|.
-Ka3aNoBa, for baing a good hermano in The Brotherhood, was fun to drink rum and making silly jokes.
-Shizune, for heving a lot of fun with you as a Nomad and a BD| member. Good work, lead the Dragons towards better Kusari (;
-Tutashkhia, for being the supervillain, Khan Noonien Singh, of Disco, literally! Never seen anyone surviving massive ganks for so long as you, even in Asco. We had some encounters (Jackal, U-104, RNC-Herschel)
-[TBH], for being fun to play with, chill down and drinking rum, you werent's very active when I joined, but now you are on a good way towards activity!
-BDM|, for countless Raids, patrols, forum RP and unforgettable enjoyment!
-BD|, for having enjoyable RP with, being part of this (for me exotic) environment was really good experience.
-[HF], for lots of raids last days, awesome, keep it up!
-D9|, was fun being a badass infectie in Liberty, keep up the good work and RP.
-K'Hara, for being my most favorite faction, I love being someone else, Nomnom, in this case. Flying with and against you, bot very funny.
-CL}, not as active as those above, but enjoyable afterall.
-5th|, not part of it but despite your really poor start, you are now one of the best people to interact with. Keep it up Jack!
My ships will be given to some people per my decision, don't ask for them. Also, don't bother to convince me to stay, it would be only futile loss of your time.
My characters are not dead, just workign on planets and stations, instead of in space (Still there is 0.0001% chance that I will return once)
Have fun, your Nomad.

You seem a little annoyed. If you are, take a break for a week or two then come back! How ever, if this is serious then i wish you the best of luck with everything you do
Ahh maan... No need to leave the server or the whole Disco mode. Come on man... It's too soon for u to go. Let's have our fun in-game and make our good memories. Let's have some fun... Ignore the screamers... Let them cry and hate.
He is right there is no point having official factions if the devs are the storyline writers.. Take Eve Online for example the only think that Admins are doing is to keep the cheaters out of the game. In the rest time players are those who decide what will be in the Universe like who will own this system and that system, what will be the price of all stuff and etc. I guess admins of disco should think about this.
The issue about players deciding prices and ownership in Freelancer is, that, it all requires intense coding and management to make sure it works properly. And if there's problems that last for months and months, the community will whine and moan just like they do about everything else.
Not only that, EVE was designed for that gameplay. Freelancer was not.

"Liberty victory over Rheinland - Rheinland officials cowardly accepting this and not bothering to solve it"
I seriously wonder where you pulled that from
Aside of one thread where I asked if people wanted to put an end to it, there has been no decision taken at all.
Basically this thread is a poor attempt at trolling, good job.
"but it bothers me a lot, having factions without power."
> GRN uses its officialty to regulate pscrap in Gallia
> OMG WTF OFFICIAL FACTIONS ABUSE THE GAME REMOVE POWERS

Okay, buddy.
I want you to design a bug-free FLhook plug-in that not only handles territorial claims of systems and stations, but also has a dynamic economy where all of the materials are produced by salvaging wrecks, and getting raw materials from asteroids.
I'll wait.
Oh, you can't mod? I'm sorry, that's not an excuse.
The game is not CAPABLE of these things without some EXTREME jury rigging of the existing code. This leads to instability, this leads to crashes, this leads to rollbacks and lost data.
Not only do the devs not have access to the source code, trying to make new plug-ins from scratch to accomplish what's wanted will take months, if not years of testing to get an even semi-stable product.
