"What is required at this juncture is for the Admin team to foster reconciliation, allow the involved factions to present arguments and viewpoints and look to reverse this decision, or at least make the involved factions make relevant roleplay gestures towards bridging this divide.
Or we can continue throwing mud at each other and being generally whiny toddlers. That works too. Because the kind of argument that's coming from you people...dear god."
What he said. I finally have enough cash for a Zoner BS (my first ever and also favourite BS) and deleted ships to make room. Maybe I should go for a Marduk instead?

<rubbish>
Oh no, I understood your point perfectly.
Problem is this, the Order has been RPed as this all powerful superpolice for Sirius by the current adminstration, they in actuality shouldn't hold nearly a tenth of the power that they pretend they have, I view this as an opportunity for Zoners to remove one of the millstones around their neck, that being an old and worthless institution like the Order that in 99% of cases attacks people on "suspicion of being a nomad" or some such rubbish and it turns out to be false.
To be crude the Order has waved it's dong around long enough, it's time for people to start pointing at it and laughing at how insignificant it actually is.
Oh, and

No, I quit disco for a while because I was about to have a coronary from Golanski metagaming like a pro and getting away with it, now the chickens are coming home to roost and I welcome them.
Haha, you clearly haven't.
Regardless of the portrayal of the Order by the current administration (Which frankly, seems a bit off as by all accounts The Order has always kept it's capital ships count at a pleasant three, certainly not enough to warrant your accusations) It is not Zoner roleplay to let a conflict continue which they can easily negotiate their way around. It doesn't even make sense for factions armed to the teeth, like the GRN. Why fight a war when you can avoid it?
I'll have to address a key misconception you seem to have. The Zoners, regardless of what they might be. They might be rich, influential and exceptionally noteworthy people...but that does not an army make. Even granting to them the luxury of massive numbers and supply routes from the Houses, they'd be hard-pressed to fight what is (indisputably) one of the hardest hitting paramilitaries in Sirius. The Order might run out of resources pretty quickly, sure. But the Zoners would hardly get away with it unscathed as you seem to be thinking. So in the end it'd just leave a weakened Zoner 'organisation' in the far Omicrons and a weakened Order. Guess who has fun? The Nomads and The Core, not to mention your friendly neighbourhood corsair.
Your personal vendetta against Golanski is irrelevant to the wider discussion. At least he has the good sense not to continue posting intensely biased opinions in this thread.
1. I am a little confused why 1.3 breaches of IDs do not result in a sanction but in something that is basically an FR5. It does not feel like a sanction, which it should be in my opinion if you break your ID. It normally would not matter really, but here it does, as some Zoner factions feel punished, even though (I assume) they are just collateral damage.
2. I think people get the consequences of this change wrong. Zoners and Order are red now. Fine. Zoners cannot engage via ID. Having Order red does not give them permission to shoot. Order could likely engage red, but they cannot attack transports (only if they have alien stuff). I guess 80+ % of Zoners are transports. So treating this as a "Yay! Now I make Order indie and kill Zoners" is not going to work. The only thing you will get is a sanction, I assume.
3. The real "punishment" that seems to be involved is: loss of docking rights. Freeports are dead. And to make sure that they are locked, all Zoners were hit by that move. Sucks for those who are actually playing "we are good with Order". But it's kind of understandable.
4. I also assume that decisions like these would have storyline/influence decisions? Zoners have quite some job to do in the OMicrons, so I assume that this is also linked to that change?
5. And about "Order could smack Zoners" statements: likely. But Core and even Sairs would gladly take over protection in return for closer links, better supplies, gratefulness and dependence... there are already political plans set in motion to exploit on the change of power in Omicrons.
I find the situation a) surprising, b) confusing and c) a little unnecessary. It's the understandable result of a somewhat extremist playing style of excessive exaggeration of what Order can do - on an oorp and irp level. I guess it is okay to let consequences follow, even though it is somewhat sad to see that all factions of the ID get it now.

Hunters aswell as Corsairs were damn good wtih yalalala. So Zoners lost stable ally with no replace.
Guess someone better reset the Zoner Drama Counter..
In my point of view, i don't think this actually a balance solution for all Zoners the way I see it, partial punishment to the Omicron Zoners even I might dare say.
It is easy for Tau and Omega Zoners to accept / ingore / shrug off this sanction, as there are no Order installation or massive influence in those regions of space.
Omicron Zoners on the other hand are completely different. Having enough potential enemies, it does not need another one. From pirating corsairs, Prime AI and the regular no-rp decloak attack nomads. Even the core is already hostile to you if you do a Omicron Zoner restart, and now added to the list is the Order - permanently.
Yes I agree the Omicrons is a harsh place to live in, but there is no need to make it more headache to play with than is already is.
