A call that has gone out, all over Malta, there were murmurs, whispers of a long-lost order returned to it's prime. Many tell of the glory days of this order, speaking of Crusades that blazed through entire systems, purging the enemies of their gods in a wave of fury and holy righteousness.
You know little of their Gods, but some believe they are connected to the Siniestre Cloud at the edge of the system. Little is known to outsiders however, the secrets of these reclusive Maltesians remain locked in their home; Skorba Vale, a large valley in the northern hemisphere of Malta, shrouded in the mountains.
The summons came in the form of a small series of burst transmissions to the civilian public of Malta, calling for "new Warriors to strengthen the Flotta di Cremisi" ones that would "Shine a light into the darkened corners of Sirius, and bring peace to the holy lands of the Maltese."
"It dosent matter where you came from, or who you are. All that does, is that the word of the Holy Order of the Crimson Cross has reached you. Now the question remains: Will you fight for the faith?"
The gates into the Vale are open. Do you enter?
OORP Section:
TL;DR, the Crimson Cross are the Outcasts of Malta that have dedicated their lives to the Holy Faith of Tarxien, a cult that spans the ages that has recently taken a massive foothold in Maltese society after a century of remaining dormant.
A basic criteria of what we expect from your transmission post:
Who you are
Where you're from
Some details about yourself
How you came to know of the Cross and why you believe the Faith of Tarxien is the way of life you choose to lead.
Posts should be made in the style of a transmission, as your character is responding digitally first. From there, the RP will progress to allow us to better gauge your RP ability.
Once the RP portion of your post is over, please provide a OORP section containing your skype info and any sanctions you've had in the past 6 months.
Finally, should you fail to make the cut, you may re-apply 1 month later (unless otherwise stated) for another shot.
If you were denied in the previous recruitment, you are now eligible to re-apply here.
My name is Sabina Venneri, and I recently heard your transmission and decided to answer your summons. I’ll be perfectly honest, if I would have heard your message a year ago I wouldn’t have given it is second thought… but now… Well I guess I should start from the beginning…
I used to have two brothers, my twin and our older brother, and we were definitely not the religious type. In fact, we thought most of the old outcast traditions and beliefs were a joke. That didn’t mean we weren’t proud to call ourselves outcasts, we just rolled our eyes anytime someone brought up the spirits or ancestors. We spent most our time out on pirating raids in the houses or occasionally escorting a cardamine smuggling run.
That all changed a little over a year ago when we got ambushed some ‘sairs out in the Sigmas. We tried to put up a good fight but they outnumbered us two to one. In the end, I was the only one to make it out alive… I… Sorry, its hard to talk about it… Well, after that I didn’t know what to do with myself, me and my brothers were always close and without them I was lost.
Since then, I have started to listen to some of the preachers on Malta looking for some sort of answers or at least a cause to drive me but none of the them seem to believe there own words and are just using their faith to excuse their own shortcomings. Maybe, the Crimson Cross might be different.

New beginnings are our specialty my child. We are glad you have heard the call, and are willing to come before the Gods and serve in their honor.
The fate of your brothers is a hear-breaking tale, one many of the crusaders within the Vale will be more than willing to listen to...
You're going to be a little behind in your training and inquisitions from the rest of the newest initiates, but a few consecutive days locked in a cellar with hot iron pokers might actually be better than doing it spread out like the others... who knows.
Regardless, attached below are the coordinates you'll need to enter the Vale. Land your vessel there, don the robes the gate guards will give you on your way in and head on in. All you must do is find someone in a golden-trimmed robe and they'll get you on your way.
Welcome, Crusader Venneri!

Hello,
I am a.. former slave by the name of Kaia. I used to be somebody else, but now I am just a person without purpose. I currently reside with my master.. no, my freer Kenneth on Malta. He had suggested I join the Crimson Cross of which he is himself part after he had taken me to one of the temples. Kenneth believes that my future may lie with the Cross, and as such I am here.
Best regards,
Kaia <End of transmission.>

Apologies for the delay in response child.. it has been a busy couple of days.
Regardless, Kenneth has mentioned you prior to this, and it is by his suggestion that this was brought to my attention.
Our order specializes in finding direction for people that lack it. It is one of the many reasons we now gain momentum on the Maltese stage. Several others have come before us much like yourself and found their lives wanting, only to have the path granted before them through enlightenment.
We hope this same fate will befall you.
Welcome, Crusader Kaia!

Greetings, Crimson Cross
My name is Robert Kunzler, I'm a mercenary from the Hudson System. My father was from Rheinland, a scientist on Cold Bay Depot. My mother was from Liberty. I won't bore you with details until we get better acquainted, but I was driven out of both Rheinland and Liberty, and have been on the run since. I was wandering the Edge Worlds when I picked up your signal. I ain't typically a religious man, but some events in my life recently have left me without a greater purpose. I was thinking The Crimson Cross might have the answers to my questions. I have my own gunboat, and plenty of experience piloting it, in addition to experience as a bounty hunter, pirate, and smuggler.

We of the Cross are always glad to see our wayward kin brought back to the light, even if by chance or circumstance. We've accepted your kind before, and I see no reason not to again; every set of hands we can get aboard will be welcomed.
Have your gunship brought to Valetta Shipyards docking bay D-24, we'll arrange a shuttle to take ya planetside for a your induction as a Crusader. While you're away and still acting as an initiate, we'll get your vessel up to Cross standards and outfitted with our tech for when you're assigned to it. Someone will meet you at the docking terminal to give you the initiates robe and everything else you'll need.
Welcome, Crusader Kunzler

Uh, hello I guess?
I am Cristina Guerrero, born to Maltese family on Corsica Outer Sanctum, where I spent most of my childhood untill I turned 15 when I asked my parents to drop me on Malta. There I got along with group of Maltesians who were a bit older than me, well shortly they needed the youngest person who would be blamed daily. I had no choice however if I wanted to stay on Malta and fulfill my dream of space exploration. And indeed, my dreams became real when I turned 18, well I know Maltese forces were using old Borderworlds technology when I was born and during my childhood, however I got used to little Series X "Dagger" fighter and later I got my hands onto Series CX "Scimitar" fighter. Lately with advanced technology I kinda fell in love CQL-Gen I "Gladius" fighter and new CQB-Gen II "Falcata" bomber, I proud of them.
Last few years I spent my time in 85th and 80th Omicron system, trying to avoid old civil war between Ghosts and Lanciers even if both groups were trying to recruit us and fight for better Malta? Stupid idea. Anyway I am kinda silly woman si? Si, I am silly, pesimist, sometimes hot head and I am getting really mad if someone is insulting me for no reason. Why do I even describe this? I don't know, maybe I am just weird.
To the point, I feel like someone is still with me, talking to me in my dreams? Si, weirdo I may be or not? ... I heard some Maltesians in bar talking about same problem, God and The Crimson Cross and here I am? I think you are more experienced than me in this case and as the voice suggested, I would like to help you to spread your influence.

I stand glad to see one such as yourself was able to see the futility of the prior infighting of the Nacion. "A house Divided cannot stand"-- One of my favorite Ancient Earth quotes, and one that holds very true. I personally watched the infighting from Malta, head held in shame the whole time. T'was a dark time indeed. Thankfully now, that is all over.
I've asked around for a little history on your flight records; turns out you are as you proclaim: quite a pilot. I'm sure Espinosa will be quite pleased to hear this; the last compitent recruit I sent her was a rather skilled Rheinland mercenary-- all the others have just been your random run-of-the-mill aviators. Still better than most Sirian pilots mind you but hey, thats the ever-present benefits of Cardamine for you.
Now, on to the point of the voices you're hearing: You have indeed heard the song of the Spirits. They echo through the halls of Tarixen, soothing the souls of all that are graced by its touch; tis a sound we are all very familiar within the Cross, and one I do hope you'll come to enjoy and accept.
Our order has heard and accepted you. Welcome Crusader Guerrero!
