Some time ago, we requested a minor Premium Scrap bonus as a player faction, mostly for RP flavor as the majority of scrap in Texas, Bering, and Hudson came from Ageira and DSE tech (exploding gates, destroyed facilities), so we wanted to reflect some familiarity and ability to salvage our own stuff when needed (while maintaining a focus on raw ore for manufacturing). That has been the extent of our lobbying and was a small thing that, as Alte mentioned above, was never intended to be competitive with ALG or Junkers.
Already mentioned this to Karst elsewhere, but we'd like to retain the minor bonus that we put in a request for and have backed up with our roleplay and I wholeheartedly support the Junkers' and ALG's specialization in premium scrap reflected by their bonuses. I'm not sure why their bonuses were reduced, but I feel this proposal would work better if it were positive and focused on restoring bonuses in line with ALG and the Junkers' needs, rather than being framed as an extensive criticism of another faction.
I don't mean to be all anti-DSE. What I do want is my faction to be excellent at what we specialize in, better than factions that do not specialize in the same things.
Let me put it this way. The current changes are basically the same as:
Kruger suddenly gets the same 4.0 bonus as BMM on Gold ore (that's the premium scrap).
BMM's other 4.0, Beryllium, is cut in half to 2.0, and Kruger also gets that (that's regular).
Giving DSE both Scrap and Premium means they get more ores than any other faction. Yes the regular scrap bonus is low, but it's the same as ALG's which is supposed to be specialized in it since the company's founding.
The initial mining draft gave us a slightly lower regular scrap bonus than Junkers in return for a slightly higher Premium Scrap bonus.
I was already skeptical since the mining time for Premium Scrap is largely irrelevant due to the length of the routes, while the mining bonus for regular scrap is extremely important for the opposite reason.
Now we not only do not get a higher bonus on Premium Scrap than Junkers, but DSE get the same and to top it off, our Regular Scrap bonus is cut down to half the Junkers', on par again with DSE, plus the Council, EFL, and even the generic miner ID.
Basically, regular scrap is nonviable for us now, since mining time is extremely important when the trip times are so short.
Don't get me wrong, it's nice that we finally have proper premium scrap routes, but that isn't really a "bonus". That's just a way overdue normalization of sell prices.
And at the same time, our regular scrap got ruined and Junkers and us are no longer uniquely capable of either. It doesn't make sense in roleplay and it doesn't make sense for balance' sake.
IMO, it sucks that Junkers only have access to the third most profitable sell point. Personally, considering PScrap is a Junker and ALG commodity, I feel Junkers should have access to a more lucrative sell point.
Look at Gallic Junkers how useless are they, there is no pscrap in gallia if you go in NL.to mine you will mine for like 2h then you will fill up you're cargo. If you mine from bering all the ways to Gallia are red and there is threth that House or Oc cap patrol will spawn and just boop you.
Hm, I felt like mining a little PScrap today in Texas. The drop rate is half compared to before the patch, and lowering the bonus ratio from 4x to 3x does not justify this. Before patch, I shot 20 scap pieces and got 300-330 premium scrap, now I get 140-150. Is this intended, or something is wrong here? My mining ship was not changed in any way since the patch.

P.Scrap run to gallia and back.. 40min both way 100 mil profit per run. So i dont think its crap. (ALG Golem)
The point of the OP concerns premium scrap drop rates for Junkers. Salvaging premium scrap is no longer viable - for players who play as Sirian Junkers.
If Gallic Junkers, DSE and ALG are happy with the current state of affairs, that's fine by me.
I haven't played ALG in a loooong time, so I'm probably asking a stupid question here: How does ALG manage to sell scrap in Gallia?

What a question , mine pscrap ands sell it.
I should have been more specific. ALG is a lawful Sirian corp. Gallia doesn't want any Sirians in their space, so I'm assuming that ALG can't sell scrap to Gallian House entities. Has Gallia cut a deal with ALG? Or does ALG sell to a Council base?
