I'm on a bus packed with noisy school kids on my way to work.

btw - about annoying people in public transport - there is one quite cheap and effective solution:
headphones + music

it's quite the opposite round here. hissing headphones of guy next to you = bad, silent device = good.
me: noise reduction headphones = happy middle
