Discussion is quite irrelevant. The ZOI of Zoners just reaches some k around their bases and Omicron 74/ Omega-49. The ID itself clearly states, just in self-defense, so a "bounty" can just be taken if the target attacks a zoner base or ship.
Pretty much i agree with Antagonist. The ID clearly states that you can only attack in self defense, but i don't think that goes for attacking Nomads and Wilde. If you are attacked first and get the blue in self defense,i think you can claim the bounty?I'm not quite sure about that dough.
Quote:However, it is really tricky over here, if the Zoner ID is a generic or faction ID here... Good question has been raised here.
The only generic IDs are Freelancer, Pirate, Miner and Recruit, then also the special ones like Neutral, Researcher, Spec Ops and Admin. There's no discussion on that.
Protege basically made it to the point. Even though a lot players think, believe or wish the Zoner ID is a generic ID, it isn't one. Its RP variety is just often defined a little more open as to others, but as all other Guilds/Autonomous IDs the Zoner ID has its restrictions defined by the lore and official player faction/s.
Oh yes, good point. Sometimes I mix up definition of Generic ID with player faction and non-player faction ID.
Wait, so it means factions like Farmers Alliance or Junkers cannot fulfill bounties (according to their ID). How does that work then, if it looks like taking bounty as a Junker from a Junker Board is against server rules?
I'm just asking, because this is how I understand the given rule concerning bounty hunting.

ID restrictions are above such a rule to my impression.

So far as I know, both have lines explicitly letting them hunt and kill Junkers. Or at least the Hogosha do. If they make a kill, they can claim it as a side-effect.
Another plainer example using Bowex. Bowex ID allows me to go on a rampage and kill anything hostile to Bretonia within my ZoI, which is Bretonia, O3 and O49. My ID lets me take down pirates within these systems, so I might as well claim any bounties for anyone I do happen to kill. I'm not killing those pirates for a bounty, I'm killing them because my ID allows me to engage them directly.
Outside that ZoI, I can't proactively initiate combat unless I'm defending myself or another ship. However, if a pirate was to attempt to extort me and I then took him down - free money, eh? I'm still not engaging for a bounty - I'm defending myself and then benefiting from the kill afterwards.

This is what I am referring to. So, for this to happen, do you have to be registered on lots of boards or could Bowex for example be registered as a blanket bounty and the individual register on those not covered by the said blanket coverage?
Is any of this possible?
I mean you might get the payments made to a central Bowex account (in the case of Bowex for example) or you could get it paid to the individual but I guess the question is would it possible either way?
