Just bring BAF ships or something.
Outcasts are allying with Brets only against Sairs, I believe.
Also, it would make a very awkward scenarios, in which Exiles are forced to fight hand-by-hand with their enemies from Taus. Same with Bretonian Privateers.

The OP says 'allies of Bretonia'. Presumably that means infocard allies, and not whatever bad justifications players can cook up.
First: BIG KUDOS for making events of this kind. Work and enthusiasm noticed. *bows deeply* It was about time
Second: last time I noticed many players asking: can I return? Or: why can't I return now, they are returning like bosses?
I strongly suggest making this now-do/now-don't more clear. Specially because it changes at one point in the middle of the battle. All that adrenalin. All that returners on the side that's winning already.
Third: I confirm I will come on a weaker side again. Tons of fun. Some people really should try it.

Should be fairly clear. If the battleship has a health bar, you can't come back. If it doesn't, you can. Admins should definitely reiterate that at the beginning of the event though, and with console messages when the relevant point occurs.
I wonder if the original form (and more importantly, the second half) of this storyline will be retained, or has that been subverted to please the crowd?

I agree that Outcasts shouldn't be there, Exiles are more relevant in that situation and Exiles fighting alongside Maltese is just not going to happen.
Also please no Nomads, unless official K'hara. Two squids violating their IDs apparently "with permission of the admins" that happened yesterday is not good for anyone.
