N-no swag pack?
I don't think I can live anymore.

Legit, Swag Pack fixes a major issue (for me at least) where it's impossible to have smooth 60 FPS. At 60 FPS I get constant stutters and jitters, due to what I believe is Freelancers inability to handle multi-core processors. Originally I had to freeze my FPS at 30 but even then I could still get stutters and playing the game was only just bearable. Once I had upgraded by GPU I decided to get Swag Pack and I was amazed to see that the problem had completely gone and I was able to get a smooth 60 FPS again.

swag pack doesn't edit any ini files, you can use it.
It's not really that difficult to understand. If it doesn't involve INI edits, it's clear. if it does, it isn't.

HudShift is a clear exception to that ini rule, it's purely clientside and doesn't cause any problem.
As for other mods like Hidamari's sound mod, I'll look into what we can do.

Since there are some custom .ini files allowed, I might as well ask.

Can we edit DATA/mouse.ini?
It allows bigger cursors to be added. As well as custom colours and optional rotation (like the rotation you see when you hover over an enemy).

Nothing too fancy.

I remember people used to edit Cameras INI to get near 180° view for snubs. That too is clientside.

That is cheating though.
With some magic to these you can also make your guns to be able to shoot backwards and other stupid mess.
Don't try this at home.

i hope hid sound file is going to be safe, the normal sounds are just naff, and ive also changed the sound when entering a system or arrived down lanes file, how can changing sound files be flagged as a possible cheat?

most graphic packs don't edit ini files, swag pack doesn't cause any issue at all. We'll issue a statement at some point stating what is allowed to be edited and what isn't.

let's take an example when you want to edit the menu screen , .ini needs to be edit same goes for bridges as well

well so far, ive not had a prob and i use hids sound mod, and a couple of my own, so hopefully, shouldnt be an issue
