Even if Order did wrong when they shot indies, that doesn't mean they have to be hostile to ALL of them because you said so or feel like teaching them a lesson. That's just wrong and shows that the Admin abuse is real around here. You might have superiority over the players because you maintain the server up, but it's stupid decisions like this one that drive people away.
The Admins weren't the ones who metagamed. We weren't the ones that committed ID violations. We are not the ones that have left no way for this situation to be resolved. We stated a fix and it's up to the players to take advantage of it. It's not that hard really. Very easy, in fact. Also, this matter wasn't just between two factions either, so I'm not sure what facts you are choosing to listen to, as I've stated in this thread who the main participants in this Disco drama are already.
You're claims of Admin abuse are absurd and I take personal offense to them. So what if I pay the bills. So what if I'm an Admin. It has nothing to do with anything. Official faction members representing an NPC faction acted hostile toward each other. Their diplomacy was set to match. If it hurts the server or the respective factions, then fix it. We've been waiting for the factions to start acting friendly toward each other in order to set the diplomacy back to where it was. Instead of beating on us, why don't you direct your concerns to the respective factions? They are the ones with the power to change our minds. These ignorant attacks on the staff do nothing.
Sorry to break up the slap fight, but I have a request because I'm a little lost.
Can someone give me links to the cause of this? I couldn't find them when I looked through the other pages of this thread. This is more out of curiosity than anything and it's hard to understand what exactly happened with how this threads been derailing into a faction bashing topic.

The whole conflict between TAZ and Order started when the latter stumbled upon the Persephone of the TAZ. The Persephone has a special engine in roleplay, the display of which used an effect taken from the Nomad city or the shield generators of Nomads, you can choose. It is however not nomad technology, from what I read. Still, the Order characters did not know this and obviously recognised the effect as something that is normally seen on Nomad structures, as the Order is very experienced on that subject. For all they know it could be a possible nomad infestation.
An investigation by Order engineers was requested and often delayed by TAZ until it was canceled, from which point on outright hostility began. Relevant Comm Thread Another comm link that tries to explain the whole deal (in the subjective view of an Order character, keep that in mind)
The problem is not really the conflict itself. It was good an interesting to play, yet what pains me the most is that it was forced on the entirety of the NPC faction which is treated as united, non-generic faction when in reality it is very far from that.
In my opinion we should just give one of the custom IFFs to TAZ, rephack everything properly and be done with it.
And before anyone protest that I was never there, I was.

If you call 2v7 fights fair. You dont know what is fairness. Stop bringing 6 core against 1 order.
Core have been ganked more times than we have ganked honestly.

They are not that many as people think, but those active ones are able to fly 2-3 raids per a DAY. They are not steamrolling with numbers and tactics, they are steamrolling with playing hours. I know many of them, they just love the game and they teamwork well when together. And they are getting better and better (except their "way of fight", which they are changing rapidly thanks to Lyth). Some even had bad time in other factions, but are happy in Core. That shouldn't be taken away from them, imho.
But, they are damn pests in the same time, as you pointed well, Garrett. Normal faction/nation can't parry them. They even pissed Golly off, I've heard. If Cores lose in the afternoon, they will come back at late evening and take their victory. But... They are doing something, ffs - instead of waiting on e-chats for something meh to happen, while playing some other game. They are making my Sairs busy every Friday in Delta and even raiding Gamma pretty often. Please, don't take them from us. When Sair players get bored - they pirate with battleships over FP1.
Garrett, if you have a hyperactive child, you can yell at it, you can call it naughty and you can even beat it. Or you can keep it occupied.

No worries. Wasted enough of my working day explaining things. I guess we are at an impasse here. The Admins will keep on being 'petty' and you can keep on being the voice of reason.
I cant post in the feedback thread, nor do I feel making another thread is necessary so forgive me for being off topic but id like to just state my opinion here.
As someone who is in contact with bloxin and has flown with the O'Rhu, and is in the Core| I really dont see the harm in Core|. Yes we raid frequently, but we do it for fun and to get other factions to rise in activity, lots of people love to attend large fights, and its for that reason that core activity is at the top, and its for that reason Omicron activity has actually risen.
We dont gank, really we dont. Every time we have raided gamma i have been killed, literally every time. there is only 1 time when we raided Alpha and won, the next time the OCs logged 32 "things" really to gank us, weve lost and won against the PRIME several times. And we have lost and won a few times against the Order. We are open to RP, I am, ive avoided several engagements to RP with the person. Bloxin actually asked me to avoid raiding Mu, since the Orhu wanted more RP, which i havent gone to Mu since then (about a month ago).
I mean the purpose of a game is to have fun, yea RP is supposed to be a large priority, but taking it into such excess to the point were raids have to be written out with 300 threads of text to justify 1 bottlenose and 9 mantas going to alpha? I dont see why that is necessary, really the way you make activity in a large lawful or unlawful faction is by raiding.
I dont mind toning the raids down, I find them fun honestly regardless if we win or lose. It provides activity for both, not specificly to you Garrett, but too all the other omicron factions, how much of your activity has come from core fights? I can imagine people would complain without more pews in the omicrons, and now that we do have pews people dont want them.
I hope people get a better perspective of us, we arent a bad crew to fly with nor to fight, Lyth does organize fair fights.
Not trying to fuel anything, I respect admins specifically you garret, and I figured I would state a nicer approach to the topic.
