If people really care, enjoy writing GMG things and like their faction's community, they can work on officialdom and it won't be that much of a big deal. Unless this is about people being obsessed with carrying a blue title.
Can you, or can you not comprihand the logical reasoning and explanation i tried to convey pertaining the prior RP, it was a dead faction that was brought to life with old and new members, not a new faction. It's not a blue title obsession, it's a multitude of complex reasons, to moral, faction apeal to potential recruits, proper partake in lore and diplomacy, and prestige that official faction members benefit from. Absolutely no reason to nitpick on prior activity when a dormant faction was brought to life with OLD and NEW players.
Hold that thought. Moral? Prestige?
I know this community has general problems with thinking that official factions are overly important, but come on. This is an online space fantasy video-game community, it's not the NYC Core club.
The faction leadership is new players, who took over only around the time the Hardship request went out. I suppose this is a lesson to start working on it beforehand. Besides, it honestly really doesn't matter. If people are passionate about the GMG, and want to prove the admin team wrong in their decision, it should be no problem to keep up the levels of activity for a couple of months and reapply for officialdom.
GMG of yestyear and the new GMG are not at all completely different from each other, It may not be reflected in here, but it is. I have not seen one instance where forum-lancing was actually the main requirement for things such as these, but given that there isn't much I can't blame you. Regardless of Hardship requests I think the Admins should and can give the new GMG a break and try and attempt to regain your "trust", And I think that removing assets from them, assetsthat were earned and passed are wrong. I have my personal skype bombarded with so many groups and chats, all focusing on GMG - The GMG Hub, the GMG cooperation, The GMG Okinawa hub, The Kishiro Hub - GMG is alive and kicking and there is a real attempt to make themselves visible and dominant - it's sad that admins don't see it, but as I said - I don't blame you. I can only ask that you provide them the encouragment and support.

Or optionally apply for Official-dom again now and use the prerequisite 3 months to break the activity-barrier
Food for thought~

Of course, I'm not against GMG being official. I actually think that the GMG has some of the most interesting lore around, and the potential to be something amazing.
More power to them if they can keep up the momentum they've built!
To all the people that say "It doesn't matter", one can just say: it does.
On a motivational (has been dealt with already), and on a direct gameplay basis.
Direct gameplay? Yes, because e.g. the SRP ships are gone which were the only counter to capships that visit Sigmas. Picking up activity and asking factions for pews (like Sairs and OC), and not owning a single cap in a system with gas pockets that kill snubs fast (while only fielding snubs)... anyway, you get the idea.
So yes, it is negatively influencing the faction in more than one way.
However: Enough crying over spilt milk.
The new leadership can prove that they can cope with a start that looked so good but was judged differently.
Aright, enough. What's done is done, we have old and new members, its the same faction as the last one and I couldn't care what anyone's opinion of that was different because they simply do not know different.
We will go back to official and we will regardless of a stupid blue title which I really didn't want, I'm not here for power, and i'm not here to push anyone's bubble, I'm here to resurrect a damn good old faction, yes the admin's can't see that or they want us to prove them wrong aright challenge accepted, that's clear enough.
We've lost our official status, so what. Tomorrow's a new day, and we're here to stay.
I personally request as the leader of the GMG, to now leave the admins alone, we've said what's needed to be said and got no where fast. Now lets show them they where wrong. - Bellck out.
I can only say its very sad that some official factions have sanctioned and banned players and have no problem, despite being detrimental to the server and trolling and oorping around, while a vanilla faction, very important to the lore of at least 2 houses, is given no privilege on a situation like this. A 'salvage operation' was started when some members realized that the faction was abandoned by its leadership. It's not a completely new faction, it was born from the old one.
Oh, and by the way: there shouldn't even be a faction activity check until the new tracker is working properly... Using some external tracking system, that is mytical at best to most disco players doesn't pass up any confidence on the decisions made based on it.
