As many people have said, this is not the same GMG faction. It's entirely new people doing things differently, and you tried to do things at a bad time. I personally don't like the idea of people completely revamping a faction when it's about to die and being able to bring over the official status just because it shares the same name. If you want official status, then apply.
Not "entirely new people". And as to "doing things differently", perhaps if players with understanding and experience with GMG's lore would have pointed out if something was out of character, and provided lore advise than all that could had been corrected, easily. To my understanding few "old" GMG players where part of the effort. But clearly that's not the Disco approach for constructive effort, let's just wait until a player(s) build something and than destroy it, that's sounds more like it. Keep seeing that same pattern over, and over. Regardless, at this point is clear from this forum and skype chatter, that most agrees that the decision was incorrect, and some just argues for the sake of the argument, since it cost them no effort why should they care anyways. Denying players effort in this fashion is not right, regardless that it is for a sake of a virtual video game's precious officialdom title, that is not how you encourage players to step up and take on a roll, and make something flourish. Should have advised, and helped in how to do it correct.

If you want someone to help you with lore, or really anything in life, you have to ask for it. It's rare for people to jump to the assistance of others. Not because they don't want to, it's more that they didn't know there was a problem. No one can read minds, and most of us have other things we have to do.
That being said, if you ask people will generally help. No one asked.

Lets face it, admins have give us a time now to change (our RP and Lore) so what was, was. What's to come, is going to throw a knife in the works.
@Miaou, you stated" As many people have said, this is not the same GMG faction. It's entirely new people doing things differently"
Regardless of what people say, people say a lot of false things, GMG was the same faction, GMG had some old people come across, yes we can do things differently and admins have decided they want a new GMG, so they're getting one...
I just can't wait till we write up our official request and people Q_Q to it, I'll revert to this post and state quite clearly, you didn't like the old GMG, that's why you sliced it in half, Now here's the new GMG, take it.. Cause nobody else is bringing or trying as hard as I am in the sigmas to boost the activity in factions up there, and I dare anyone to challenge this statement. Read back to the Smithy's, IMG, and Kishiro statements.
Admins are clearly not going to change their mind and I'm not arguing to have a less than 3 months activity, we'll give them what they want and prove that we can do this. Cause yeah, I have the full community's back, they've made a mistake they won't accept and we're happy with that.
About the SRP, I never wrote it, but players currently in the GMG who did, should still have that unchallenged. Again, these are not new players these are veteran players...
Is it entirely possible that these Faction Hardship Program requests be invisible to the server at large? I mean, it's an entirely Admin/(Mods too perhaps?) decision. Leaving it visible to the community seems to bring out nothing good.
What can I say... 6 months here, and I'm still new. Just seems like a lot of arguing for and against this decision. When it should be between the decision maker and the faction.
