Wow. Thank you guys for the feedback. I'm really glad that you've enjoyed the slightly-addled results of my consuming quantities of tea that are likely sufficient to float a small warship. Discovery's been a tremendous incentive to write, and I'm hugely grateful to have the opportunity to write with all the awesome folks who have RP'ed with me. You know who you are, people in this thread. I'm on holidays for a week longer, so on we go!
As Rod suggested, I'm also working on curbing a lot of the excess detail that tends to bog down pacing, too. So with any luck we'll find a happy medium sometime soon.
A quick formatting note. I've changed the first post to the handy new [pi] tags instead of the old indent ones, so hopefully it should be less broken in widescreen now. Maybe.
Hey there! Since you went and and gave me such glowing praise, it'd be downright rude of me not to pop in here with some feedback. From what I've read with Sparks and Hartman thus far, I can tell they're both very interesting people, and they feel like people - actual proper thinking entities rather than mere placeholders for the player, with a variety of relationships and quirks and history that really bring them to life. Lambert and Jane's adversarial relationship is something I find particularly rare (and amusing).
Really, it's not at all often you see two characters in a faction completely rub each the wrong way and disagree the way these two do.
On top of that, the detail in which you describe the world, people and their actions is fantastic, though as others have noted, almost a little too fantastic at times. You already know what to do about that, though, so I shan't parrot the others further other than by saying great work, and I look forward to interacting more with your characters, and reading more of your writing in general.
