I was finally promoted! Now I can sign up for Inter-House convoys... lots of places to see and lots of people to meet. Oh and the payment is going to get so much better. In a month from now I will move out of this hole and live in a richer district. Patience Miranda!
I kinda know that my other Cryer colleagues like Sarah and David will be furious when they learn that I am a new senior escort pilot. I should get them a gift so that they would forget about it. I found some shoes that Sarah would love and for David... I have no idea. Probably will do some flirting again. Won't cost me credits afterall.
Oh and I should also not forget to study the Operations Manual for Inter-House convoys. It's one of the things that the management "forgot" to review when they promoted me. Should start with "Rheinland pirate tactics" and equipment and then move to "borders control and inspection". Bloody hell there is even a document which I was supposed to memorize about how to identify infested RM officers. If only those officers were as incompetent as the ones I had back in BAF when I was a militia, then I wouldn't even need to read this thing!

Things are going so very very nice lately. We are moving medical equipment and medicine from Bretonia to Rheinland and the Sigmas. And Kusari a little (the Cryer labs in Denver mostly handle most of Kusari and the entire Liberty). The job pays well, it is kinda safe (no bloody warzones!) and I meet new people every day. Rheinland is a kinda sad place (because of the Chancellor's regime most likely) but the view of the Sigmas and Kusari is breathtaking. I still have a hard time with Kusarians however... I am not really fond of them.
You know it gets even better when you tell people about your work and they respond positively, telling you are doing a good thing to the world. Today I received a message to be transferred to the security team of Atka Research Station. I'm so happy and I'm looking forward to it! I have spent more than two years in missions assigned in space and frankly I could use some rest.
By the way I still can't forget what happened the other night... I was off-duty for the next 14 hours so I text'd my CO that I was going for some shopping in order to refresh my Rheinland speaking. In reality of course I was looking for some fun so I went to my spacecraft and headed to Kreuzberg where I heard from a friend that a very nice party was about to begin. So I rented a small room and easily found some drugs in case I was so bad that I couldn't find my way back to my vessel. The party was indeed awesome, I just love the Junkers for it, though I only remember bits and pieces. However I do remember that I ended up in my room with two handsome guys. Two Hessian brothers but I can't recall their names. They were not gentle with me at all which made the sex even more intense. Anyway, I ended up being an hour late when I met the Cryer convoy. Told them that I ate something which made me sick however my eyes are still red from the drugs.

Section D, normally restricted even with high-level clearance
Managed to take a photo in August 15th during a security breach
What I have learned and seen within so little time, it cannot be adequately described. At first I was happy to leave the stress of space behind. To be in a place where so many significant inventions for humanity were made was something which kept me going. But this is only just a part of it.
As I was assigned to different sections of the station, I discovered some horrible truths which of course I am not allowed to share with anyone. Initially I just provided security for VIPs who visited Atka. Rising celebrities wanted to look younger and more beautiful. CEOs or even crime lords came in order to have their brains function better and more quickly than before. And other important people who suffered from incurable diseases were actually cured here... As long as they were rich or influential, Cryer was willing to serve their needs.
Then I was told by a doctor who worked in Atka's production facilities that we produced way more natural and synthetic drugs than we publically claimed, for the purpose of increasing our revenue, apparently an important factor if we wanted to be bigger and ahead of our competitors as he explained. And by August I was assigned to a different department. There I saw with my own eyes unregulated testing on both animals and humans. Cardamine addicts, criminals or even House activists were brought here for testing before being finally killed and had their organs looted. Afterall, as long as they funded and lobbied the governments, who would care about Cryer's experiments in an uncontested and isolated system?

I have been gone from Atka for months now but some visions keep haunting me. I would certainly go crazy if I stayed there a month longer. I don't understand the morals of the people working there. It is indeed better in the war-torn and depressing Bretonia than back in Atka where I made lots of money. Oh and with my employee clearance I purchased a cat which originates from Gaia. I love her so much!
I should take it out of my system and say it instead of keep ignoring the problem. Miranda, you still have trouble with your former Supervisor. He wants to divorce his wife and live with you. The bastard is more threatening about it with each passing day. I knew I should have not made things serious with him but he was my ticket out of Atka. I didn't have much choice!
Anyway, I think it's for the best if I start focusing on other things. In an infamous establishment I was invited to join the Privateers but they are fools if they think I'm going to become an outlaw or because I particularly care about Queen Carina. Can't recall a single reason why we need to have royalty in the first place! Perhaps I should start looking for my real parents again? Haven't found anything on the citizen records so I should start asking around in Bretonia's underworld. That should be fun.
Okay I've been two months in Bowex now. I didn't have much choice considering that I was unemployed but it wasn't as bad as I imagined it to be.
There is more danger than working for Cryer considering that we regularly fight the extremely well-trained Corsairs and the ExSec is sometimes thrown in the front lines when the Armed Forces need our help. It is even more worrying what a Zoner told me two weeks ago that the Corsairs fighting in the Omicrons are even more skilled and the ones guarding their home system are even better, their aces. So yeah... this might be my last diary entry for all I know.
Aside from the dangers the Bowex guys are pretty cool even though too formal sometimes. My direct superior, Clarke, is good-looking too. If only they could stop talking so much about the Crown and "our duty to Bretonia", I would definitely had made more friends by now. I am just here for the job that pays my rent and lifestyle, I don't give a damn about their ideals. I am now living in Wales District which is kinda expensive, but it is at least away from all the refugee camps of New London. Of course, I am sympathetic with the refugees from Leeds as long as they don't live in my neighbourhood. Crime rate has dramatically been increased around all the Districts who host lots of refugees.

Speaking of payment, the standard pay grade is terrible though it has been improved with each promotion. Regardless, I make the real money from the Bounty Board. More risk but hefty bonuses too. I now moved to a better apartment in New London and enjoy a quite comfortable lifestyle while saving some on the side. But this is not the only way I make extra money. Extorting law-breakers instead of reporting them has proved to be an extremely profitable job too... I convince them to donate respectful amounts to me and "we become friends". I have already extorted several but the most notable is undoubtedly an IND captain and a Congressman. The Congressman in particular delivered some luxury goods to Arranmore Base in order to convince Blodwyn O'Driscoll to help me out. The money made from extortions are secretly kept in closed bank accounts in Hawaii which I am going to use after my retirement. Obviously I do not intend to stay in ExSec for too long. Sooner or later I will get killed and I am not going to wait for that day to come. James called me a week ago and he told me about a flourishing business he set up in Barrier. This is my destination unless in the meantime I find something more promising.
But undoubtedly the best thing that has happened to me the last two months is called Sian Breacon. She is sweet and I love having sex with her. I am spending a lot of time with her and ever since I told her about my past, she stopped assigning me patrol duties in Dublin system. Thing is, ever since Blodwyn searched the Molly records and found that my parents were killed during Planet Cork's bombing, I promised to never attack a Molly pilot. Obviously this arrangement has its perks too, meaning that her boys won't attack me as well. Even though I do not feel any urges to become a Molly myself, I can't hide the fact that I take a bit too much pleasure and extra risk in killing Corsairs as of late.
It was good to finally find solid evidence about my biological parents but the ones who ultimately matter are the ones who raised me. If I had more free time I'd visit them more often but sadly I don't. The last days I am packing up my things as we are going to holidays with Sian in Rheinland. These are not "standard" holidays but certainly very interesting!
Oh and a reminder! When I get back from Rheinland, I should not forget to renew my medical license. Finding a proper drug has been too much of a hassle as of late.
