We should somehow however think about how it can be made a little more even. Looking at the experience, equipment and skill level that the average player on the Liberty side brings makes me actually wonder that the difference is "only" 66 vs 17, which is rather depressing already. Seeing the outcome of the normal fight and the kill ration of 4:1 makes me expect nothing else but a one-sided frustration and as a consequence "winning-team-joining" rather fast.
In chats, the option of giving LN players a higher bounty than 5 mil bonus per kill.
It has also been mentioned to perhaps give LN players more points per kill to keep the outcome of the event a little more "open".
I am just putting this in here because the trend has been there before (in different confrontations, with different parties), and it often ended in a not-ideal way.
Perhaps there are ways to steer things from an early point on.
@Jack
I'm more in favor of systems rewarding effort instead of attempt, thus I would prefer a solution where general skill of the LN playerbase is improved instead of trying to even the numbers with uneven scoring, perhaps even indirectly suggesting the same can be achieved with less effort if you are on the right side with that. I'm pretty sure a solution like what you mentioned would cause more harm than good.
I doubt extra bonuses will change anything for Liberty. That average skilled player will be the same. Money can't improve the skill, neither experience and nor their equipment. And without experience skill won't get improved.
I think, we should establish much bonuses for killing bigger ships. For example, 5 millions for snubs/Gunboats. 7 for Cruisers and Battlecruisers, and 10 for Battleships. Or whatever it will be, something like that. To make the difference between the ship classes. It would be fair, in my opinion.
What's about the point, last time I saw GRN had about 3x more points than Liberty, and now Liberty has 2x more.
Making a system where Capships are kept in check by giving the opposite side too big of a point gain to risk using them too much would be a good idea.

I am sure devs pay attention to the event but they need to get involved and change something asap. (This is not QQ attempt so trolls begone)
By the look of the stats it seems "LN" and ally forces don't care for the pvp event. The ratio of 4:1 in favor to GRN represents the event is not going well and by that I don't mean LN have to win. For example look at the marines event: 58:69 in favor of "alliance" which means both parties participate nearly equally. The event is tense and unclear while the pvp one is going on in GRN tremendous win which is not encouraging others to change it.
What Jack proposed about more points to be given per GRN slain seems legit because currently GRN are more organized and a small group of few people can bring down tons of players due to the fact the GRN can target 8 ID groups, while "alliance" - only 2 (both GRN). I don't know if the devs though about it but currently GRN can enter and expect to be attacked by "a lot" factions, which is giving them superior advantage to score more points, while "alliance" forces need to wait for any GRN indie or official to log in order to possibly get few points. And no GRN would enter alone while "allinace" (indies especially) do that and are easy prey.
Look at it this way - if GRN death is worth 10 points then this event would've been sitting at 300:390 in favor of GRN - representing equality and tensity - then considering the current situation which is more than a failure for the "alliance" - its players will try to enter and change the outcome.
If no changes are prepared just shut down the PVP event and call GRN victorious because majority decided to play GRN and sabotage the event - this is how it looks like. (This is not a whine attempt but more of a worry that things are broken and needs to be fixed asap)
