With relief and pride I can report another success in our efforts to defend our homeland against the vile corsairs!
With the help of Molly Erik Nantz we were able to lure a corsair gunboat into an ambush in o-5, which the Hessian Tear vessel Panzerfaust and I prepared. Overwhelmed and helpless, the corsair ran towards o-41 but he was finished off by our combined firepower.
The Corsair facing his destiny
Another victory for the Red Hessians, another step towards a free Rheinland.
Yours,
Rekrut Marisa Leyden
But the Raven, sitting lonely on that placid bust, spoke only
That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.
Nothing further then he uttered; not a feather then he fluttered--
Till I scarcely more than muttered, "Other friends have flown before--
On the morrow he will leave me, as my Hopes have flown before."
<blockquote>Then the bird said, "Nevermore."</blockquote>

We appear to have more friends and recruits lately, today we also proved a formidable force to the overbearing Corsairs in Omega 5.
Firstly, Frau Leyden and I met a strange ship with the callsign of "Eagle_One" in Dresden. Our intel reports on the target suggested he was a Corsair Gunboat. Closer inspection revealed a fledgling Hessian, with a Thor Bomber. Some of his systems were out-of-whack, so I gave him specific instructions on how to fix them. He set off for Hudson to destroy some Xenos targets.
Frau Leyden discovered a moderate Corsair presence in the Omega 5 system, near Ronneburg Base. The targets were members of the Omega Pirates Guild, 'Melkor' and 'Raiden'. 'Melkor' was the callsign of a well-equipped Corsair Gunboat, with 'Raiden' in a Titan escorting him. Marisa engaged the Corsair Gunboat and I arrived soon afterwards in my Loki. The Gunboat's formidable shielding systems prevented us from damaging its hull, so we evaded its powerful turret weaponry. Soon after, the Titan escort arrived and engaged us.
The minefield around Ronneburg proved to be a dangerous place to navigate, as my Countermeasure systems were broken off. The Omega Pirate Titan also took major damage from both stationary and portable mines. Eventually, the Hessian Bomber 'Olaf Streithorst' came to our aid. His superior firepower helped blow away the escort Titan with ease.
We then switched our attention to the Corsair Gunboat. With the help of Olaf's Supernova cannon, the Gunboat was damaged so severely that it was forced to flee back to Cadiz. We cut off the pursuit, hoping the Corsair would run into a mine and save us the work.
Regards,
Leutenant Dieter Lenz

I have encountered a Wesley Richter (confirmed Rheinland Military pilot) today during my short inspection trip to Darmstadt. As I had finished my business, he broadcasted a message via system wide communications and I took the liberty to take a closer look at the situation. Upon inspection I noticed his ship was transmitting LWB IFF codes and the pilot did not exhibit any hostile behaviour towards me. Furthermore, I have been assured by the LWB that he has singlehandedly taken out multiple Military Wraths during a firefight, and the possibilities of a ruse are very low.
I had interviewed the pilot, and it seems he had conducted recon to the heart of the Wild system where he retrieved a strange device. There were a few things that caught my attention however. He described it as quoting "being called to it". His armament was no longer standard issue Rheinland equipment but strange Nomad weaponry, and the device he carried although detectable on sensors does not match any known Nomad device pattern in our database.
He appears to have extensive reconnaissance data about the Wild systems in the Omega quadrant.
I strongly suspect this pilot to be somehow influenced if not outright infested by the Nomad threat.
Orders are as follows: Acquire his full background information from our sources in the Rheinland Military. I want his full file on my desk as soon as possible. Do not yet spread any information of this pilots desertion, it is best our forces be on their guard constantly. Attempt to determine the function and origin of the Nomad device. I have attached schematics of the scan to this document.
This is of course a high priority task. I have my full trust in you.

Greetings Comrades,
Although I wish it were under better circumstances, I have grave news to report. When out on lone patrol yesterday in Omega 11, I encountered what appears to be two Wild pilots patrolling near the Omega 55 jumphole location. Their callsigns were Wilde.Rheingold and Wilde.Wesen. Needless to say, I did not engage them by myself but stayed out of their scanner range and tracked them, whereupon after a number of minutes they jumped to Omega 55.
Due to this increased activity by the Wilde, I am thinking that the rumoured alien jumpgate in construction in the Omegas must be nearing completion, and once again it will likely fall to the Red Hessians to hold back this tide from further incursions into both our territory and the rest of Rheinland. As if the Corsairs were not enough!
I hope that next time I have better information to report. Stay safe, Comrade. Dark days are ahead, I fear.
I was patrolling the Omega 11 Jump Gate when I received a distress call from Solarius. It was pretty garbled; all I could make out was that they were under attack and taking some heavy hits. I plotted a course to help, figuring it for the odd Hessian sortie. Boy was I wrong. A dozen Das Wilde ships were firing on the station, destroying any ships that came too close. As soon as I arrived, they started shooting at me, almost as if it was a choreographed by some sort of puppeteer. They drifted the fight away from the station, careful, oh so careful, to not destroy me. Then there was the jump hole. One-by-one, they jumped. I dont know what I was thinking, in the heat of the moment I wasnt thinking at all, but I jumped after them.
On the other side was a lone, solitary ship. We fought; fight drifting farther and farther once again through an asteroid field devoid of other life. We passed beyond the boundaries of the asteroid field, and then it happened. The Wild ships pounced, I reckon because now I couldnt just run back to the jump hole. There must have been two dozen or so it was insane, I wasnt counting. I ran; I didnt even bother getting bearings, just away. I ran the wrong way, getting further and further from the jump hole to safety. Eventually I came upon a planet, with a pair of fighter wrecks orbiting it. I had heard of such things carrying advanced weaponry, so I tried salvaging. Something beckoned me to do it, I cant say why or how. I found something, a weapon. Then the Wild found me. It was run or die, and I chose to run, away again. To the north-east, where I found another jump hole.
It was a way out, anything was better than this system, this damned blight on the face of Sirius. Only, I was wrong. There was something worse.
On jumping, stronger Wild ships pounded at me.
I dodged and managed to live, but only just. And there, in front of me, was this behemoth I cant even describe it; you just have to look for yourself.
Something called me again towards it. There I found something. Its in my cargo hold, and heres a scan of it at the moment.
I took quite a lot of damage, but luckily my nanobots and shield batteries saved me. That thing was heavily guarded.
Then I saw something new a stronger ship, a gunboat. Something kept my scans from getting more than a skin-deep view, but this is what I got.
Something odd, something no one would expect a Freelancer weapons platform, there? Just though I would mention it.
My sanity was cracking some. Im a little afraid of Nomads, and the Wild. A phobia, you could call it.
I knew you must get the scans I collected, as some imminent danger could be visible in them, some intel that could turn the tide of something. Not sure what.

Right, I will skip the elaborate intros and get straight to the point. We have all read the report of the Intel Division and the data they have interdicted from the Rheinland Military. Der Wilde are growing stronger in Omega-55, securing the system against incursion without fault and as usual it is up to us to stop their inevitable advance. As such I declare prevention of Wilde expansion as highest priority, next only to territorial defense. As part of this heightened state of alert, patrols in Omega-11 and Omega-5 are to be doubled while the jump holes leading to the Wilde infested systems are to be put under as much surveillance as possible. Scans of Wilde ships would also be very useful for our continued operations.
The Landwirtrechtbewegung operative Wesley Richter is as of this point under our protection, and it will stay that way until this matter is resolved. Allow him docking priviliges on all our bases and assist him at request. He is of great importance to us (and by extension all mankind) right now, knowing the layout of the Wilde system well and having experience with fighting the Wild Wraths.
Do NOT under any circumstances spread this information to anyone except potential allies. We are the best of the best, we know what we are doing and no rookie should attempt to give his life away needlessly. Not to mention the last thing we need is enemy fleets roaming our systems, engaging our troops on their way to Omega-55. We will deal with this in our own way, without gaining more fronts than we can already deal with.
The Hessian Tears are a slightly more complicated matter. It would be best if we let them fight the Corsairs while we handle the Nomad infestees alone, at least as long as resources allow it. They have had their way with the Wilde some time ago and they got crippled by them heavily. The emotional influence of that might cause their judgement to be clouded, and I cannot allow hasty decisions and desperate attacks. Do not inform them of the situation yet.
Remember brothers: as long as we remain disciplined, faithful in the cause and ever-ready, we will prevail over these enemies as we did over everyone else. We cannot fail here and we will not fail.

Ronneburg had sent red alert to all bases this evening, picking up an unidentified energy signature in Omega-5. Myself and Rekrut Leyden launched to investigate. As we arrived the only thing we caught was interference in the comms and strange anomalies, but we picked up the alert signal from Freeport 5 soon after. We followed the signatures all the way to Omicron Gamma where the Corsairs were getting ready to battle. Both me and Leyden agreed, we best return to Dresden to tell the tale.
I have strong suspicion that this was nothing less than a Nomad encounter. They are operating here, in the Omega systems, right under our very noses. It's but more proof that the Wilde may soon attack us and Rheinland, and we must not let that happen.
Here is what I propose: We need to organise a recon mission into the heart of Omega-55, take detailed scans of whatever is lingering in there so we know full well what we are up against and we can follow suit with an operation to take it out. Since we are advancing into a Wilde infested system, a mixed battlegroup will be required. Ideally I would like the Varyag to accompany us and provide armoured support against the massed Wilde, as well as taking aboard some scanning equipment to conduct the long-range recon. Taking Richter with us is not negotiable, he knows that system well and we need him. I will need to inform him that his services are needed. Other than that I will need as many of you as possible to ensure that we all make it out alive.
I will add this: this mission is a voluntary one. Those of you who do not want to go may remain at their posts and guard our behind. Those of you who wish to participate, report in here.

I was mapping the Dresden system as per standing orders by the High Command for every Hessian to know the space around us like his own cockpit. I ventured to the Bautzen station to make myself known to them and you can imagine my surprise of finding two of Das Wilde regulars flying Valkyries. They were engaged by a wing of Bounty Hunter regulars and ironically with their help I gunned down the Wilde pilots. I took on Das Wilde first as commanded by the High Command making them a top priority target. After seeing them reduced to wreckage I thanked the Hunters by cooling their jets. Permanently.
I managed to salvage a Blaster of alien origing. I'm hereby requesting that if the High Command does not require the weapon for itself I get to keep it as a trophy. If the command does require the weapon we need to arrange it to placed in the armory.
The Varyag is at your disposal. Give me a mission start time so I can ready the crew. We are enrout to Vogtland as I send this so we should be able to load any equipment upon our arrival.
I received a transmission from Scorn star asking for an end to hostilities and for our help in attacking the RM. It is in my conscience to push even harder against these vile machines. I have used several of the Beacons that this ship has acquired and my technicians have accessed some of their most simple data transmissions. We have deciphered that they wish to lower their hostility towards us. I would like to hear what the RHA, as my closest friends and allies, what they have to say about this. As corrupt and brainwashed as the RM are they are still Rheinlanders. I cannot sit idly by and watch them turned to product, and certainly cannot assist.
It is the opinion of this Commander that the Harvesters evil and a plague to our people. The sooner we eradicate them from our home the better.
