A concerning report has been received, related with a peculiar encounter in New Tokyo system.
The Heavy unit's crew is hereby notified to be under close arrest until proper examination of this case is completed.
Said crew is ordered to stay confined in the Heavy Unit until further notice.Tokkeitai personnel will be dispatched without delay to proceed with the following threat assessment.
This is Captain Kim Sung Park, commanding officer of Battlecruiser Takao. The ship is moored at Yokohama Shipyard and the crew hasn't been allowed to leave. I knew this will happen so I filled a complete report about the events that took place. You will find it attached below. Be advised that in the battle that followed the encounter, the ship suffered minor and some HDD equipment, containing mostly logs and archived scans, are malfunctioning. Some data may appear corrupted and I'm afraid there's nothing we can do about that. The sooner we're done with this nonsense and get back to operating capabilities, the better. So, let's move fast.
The Takao was scheduled for a routine inspection on Yokohama. On our way we encountered an alien entity (Ish'tar) and an Order capital vessel (Order|CV-Sanity). The alien ship was different from any known Nomad forms. Bigger and... different. Our systems gathered some data but I don't think we can rely on it. Primary fleet destroyer Okinoshima also arrived at the location. We decided to observe. The Order was communicating with the alien. All I could gather was that this specific individual was some sort of Overseer and not exactly a Nomad... something else.
Unnecessary to say that the presence of the huge alien, order and two KNF warships in proximity of Narita attracted attention. However, we didn't expect an Outcast Battleship (72nd|MNS-Aurora). We convinced the captain of said vessel to leave Kusari. Okinoshima escorted the foreign warship. Takao remained to observe the situation. That's when another hostile capital vessel appeared. a Dragon Cruiser (Saito.Dosan). Fearing that the Order ship will team up with the new arrival, I decided to not engage and continued to observe the situation.
After a while, Liberty Security Forces arrived. Both the alien and the Order used cloaking technology and vanished. The LSF wing was escorted by members of KSP and Naval Forces to New Tokyo for questioning. You will have to get data about that from other sources because Takao remained where the alien was seen. Readings were still showing anomalies in the area. And they were right. The alien ship re-emerged. This time it contacted us, directly, on secure channels. Unknown protocols. There are no data in the ship's computer about that so you'll have to take my word for it.
Using NeuralNet commercials or movie scenes, the alien was communicating with me. It warned us about the LSF as they are very dangerous and... cheered about us detaining them. Then it... erm... explained the encounters it had with LSF, all times ending in a firefight. It said they wanted something from it but I couldn't understand what.
The alien vanished as it appeared and I was able to return to my duty. The Dragon cruiser suspected us of being infected by the entity. I assured him we're fine and asked him to leave and he did just that. However, several other Dragon fighters, Chrysanthemums and even an Outcast Gunship arrived on the scene. They continued accusing my crew of alien infection and even demanded we commit sepuku. Luckly, our side was also reinforced.
I would like to note the presence of another unknown vessel that showed a very friendly attitude towards us, when she learned we had contact with the said entity. A battle started and we emerged victorious. Then we headed to Yokohama and here we are.
I am sure primary fleet officers that were present can confirm my story. I can provide essential system data from the ship's mainframe but it will come in small packages since our communication system has been knocked out. We're functioning on limited data traffic.
Commanding officer of the Okinoshima here.
We were present when those events occurred.
I can confirm Captain Kim Sung Park's testimony for the most part.
However, I was not present by Takao's side all the time, since we had to escort that Outcast Battleship to the Taus, as stated in the report. I had then to deal with this unwanted Liberty Security Forces incursion in New Tokyo system.
Incidentally, those outcasts displayed a strange behavior. They appeared to believe Aliens were indeed a threat, and assured me their fleet division would be ready to side with Kusari in the event we had to fight an Alien threat.
The crew of the Okinoshima and I are at the disposition of the Kempeitai and the Tokkeitai, if that is required. The Heavy unit is currently moored to Yokohama Shipyard.
Lastly, I took the liberty to bring this NeuralNet transmission node to the Kempeitai, as I believe such events come under their jurisdiction. I hope the Tokketai won't hold this courtesy against me.
*with a salute, the captain begins her transmission.
The Kempeitai Agency has been notified by the Naval Forces about this case of Alien contact in New Tokyo. The agency has dispatched a Signal and Alien Investigation (SAI) unit to Yokohama. The unit carries enough material to administer clinical exams and Yagi-Ikusa empathy tests on the crew of the Takao, with the expected duration of 48 hours for the whole crew. We are willing to collaborate and share the workload with Tokkeitai agents qualified for the task.
While the SAI unit is prepared to contain any individuals that may accuse alien infection, it does not have the required numbers to keep containment of the whole crew, should it turn out to the worst case scenario. We require the KNF collaboration in keeping the quarantine and security of the unit and the station while the screening tests are conducted.
Expect more reports once the screening is underway.
Heavy Unit Takao's personnel inspection is completed.
The Secret Police thanks said personnel for their cooperation in this operation.
Crew quarantine will be canceled within the next few hours. Naval Forces admiralty was informed of Takao's availability for active duty.
Given some odd results in the crew biological tests, all rest permissions delivered to Takao's personnel are canceled. Future rest permissions won't be delivered until three months have passed, from today.
Tokkeitai operative 'Sankai' will be assigned to the Heavy Unit Takao for an indefinite amount of time, in order to bolster personnel loyalty. His duty is also to ensure medical tests are regularly performed on the personnel, for data gathering purposes.
