- Well, they are most likely going to sleep as we speak. But some may as well be just waking up. - she silently landed next to him, the ship closing behind. - A gun. And a flashlight. - she looked around and took a deep breath. She then took a carefull look at Sean. - Are you nervous?
- Why would I be? They are only dragons. - he rose his eyebrow at Flora and after a few moments smiled playfully - Of course I am. And now that you decided to take a gun especially.
- As the saying goes: better safe than sorry. We might as well end up without anything happening at all... - a roar from just a hundred meters away interrupted her. - ...or have quite an interesting time. - she looked in the direction it came from, tilting her head slightly. When the following silence prolonged, she made a few steps forward and stopped again, listening.
- That interesting might not end well... - his eyes widen up as he noticed the approaching them shadow. Slowly steping up closer to Flora he whispered - I hope they are not the same as from all those legends, because we might be in troubles then...
- They did not have Daumann firearms in all those legends, though... - she whispered back, observing the faraway creature that was stood still ahead of them. It certainly wasn't close to the biggest dragon the planet ever saw, but it's size was still consirderable. And, as a matter of fact, it's size was the only trait that could be determined in the darkness so far. Nevertheless, this alone seemed to be enough for Flora to completly forget about Sean in favor of the new guest.
- I hope Daumann arms are not going to just make them angrier... That tends to be the case quite often... - he quickly glanced at Flora but understood that she is already in her own world. Rolling his eyes in a slight amusement he returned his look at the approaching shadow, paying some attention to Flora's moves as well.
After the dragon got closer, the muffled sound of it's steps finally reached them. It had a slow pace, carefully observing both humans and their ships, although it's attention was mostly focused on Flora, as she was the closer one of the two curious creatures. When the dragon was around twenty meters away it stopped, with it's head slightly tilt. The dragon then raised it into the air, revealing it's rather long neck, and sniffed a few times. The head was small, without any outstanding features. The lack of light made any more details impossible to see.
Meanwhile, Flora stood still, her look stuck on the dragon.
As well as Flora Sean stood in the same position like a statue, with his eyelids scanning the dragon all over. His facial expression have been clearly saying that he was not feeling very comfortable at least. To distract himself a bit he leaned forward to get as close to Flora as he can without moving the body and whispered - What is the next stage of this show?
The dragon turned to it's right and began to slowly circle the landing spot, it's attention now focused on the ships. The move revealed that the dragon had a tail of consirderable lenght. After a dozen of steps it stopped again, sniffing. It then decided to get a closer look, and slowly approached Flora's ship, with it's head slightly tilt, held right above the grass. A few murmurs could be heard.
Sean quietly chuckled at such interest of the creature then stepped closer to Flora and whispered - Do you think he likes your ship? It is called a Black Dragon after all. He might suspect something... - With that he bursted into a choken laughter again, covering his mouth to not make any loud sounds.
