Well, I finally broke down and did it - created a pirate character.
The ship's moniker is "Outrageous Fortune" and her pilot will not be asking for donations to a particular cause, extortion, nor for the contents of your wallet.
He will be asking for your cargo - about 3400 units will do.
He's a generic (such a bland, nondescript word) pirate, but the ship's iff is Outcast. I'll be fixing the iff later, probably to a Rogue iff, since the ship is of Rogue origin.
My pilot's zoi will vary with the whims of fate. But there are definitely places where I will not be plying my trade: Omicron Kappa, Alaska, Omicron Delta, other nasty corners of Nomad infested space, and Sigma-13.
Oh, the ship? It's the Pirate Transport.
If someone out there in the community has any sage advice concerning my latest rp excursion, I'm all ears.
OK for gentle RP, OK for gentle PvP too. What do you prefer ?
Hurk hurk hurk...

Out of curiosity, if you don't mind me asking, what weapon loadout do you plan on using? Even though it has 9 turrets, is that enough to take down (most) transports?
Hell yeah, the pirate trans is a monster! You won't be disappointed. 6 forward, 7 broadside firing turrets, virtually infinite power output, decent armor, train CD = very nasty pirating ship.
Have fun:D
But the Raven, sitting lonely on that placid bust, spoke only
That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.
Nothing further then he uttered; not a feather then he fluttered--
Till I scarcely more than muttered, "Other friends have flown before--
On the morrow he will leave me, as my Hopes have flown before."
<blockquote>Then the bird said, "Nevermore."</blockquote>

The Pirate transport is a bit... lacking in the boomstick department. It has 6 turrets that fire forward, 3 turrets that hang uselessly in the aft. I can't seem to bring down shields fast enough as a result.
The shield isn't terribly robust either (haven't found the adv. transport shield yet).
On the upside: At least the traders are entertained, jeering at my feeble antics:lol:.
I do believe that I'll picking up a rogue gb very soon.
A pity too. I would rather pillage materials than pocketbooks.

why do you get a fighter so then you can pirate traders/miners and get somone to haul the pirated cargo and sell it for you (a trusted pilot that is) then you can split the profit 50/50 then:)
' Wrote:Perhaps ask for a bit less cargo. That much cargo and I suspect traders will prefer to die then hand it over.. sadly..
Other then that, I assume you use the generic pirate ID? sorry.. but ewww....
Dunno... I think I lack credibility when I fail to bring down their shields fast enough. But maybe you have a point on the amount I should ask for.
And what's wrong with the generic pirate ID? I prefer flexibility and don't want to be pidgeonholed into one sector. My pirate isn't a radical revolutionary, a drug addict or some trigger-happy malcontent. He likes money, especially other peoples' money.
