I am currently making my commbar for my independent trader character I'm going to create, but i make them so much horrible.
So I'm asking for a little tutorial on making and stylishing them.
P.S: I employ GIMP
Thanks in advance!

"It's not a compliment, it's a matter of fact. I never saw you whining about stuff when it didn't go your way, you never do ooRP-arranged stuff, you're active, you're good at playing your character ingame and you're neutral enough to not end up as a clown infront of the community."
To be honest, I used GIMP so long ago , I don't really remember how it actually works, but in Photoshop, I usually deploy some various brushes or shapes that give the base of the header, than apply certain style overlays, or just make a com image with some fancy stuff on it and use the forums own assets to make it look good.
Thanks for all heads-up! If you have some more tips, feel free to post them here!
P.S: Might be useful for who wants to learn how to make one.

First try at commbars and holo effect!
All feedback is appreciated!

Not bad. Maybe make those frames a bit thiner. They're too fat currently, imho. You can also change the 'ball' to look like an eye which displays the text.
@Epo Hmm...yeah, the frames are too fat, actually. About the eye-text-displaying, I have no idea where to start from. If you have a tip, it'd be appreciated.
