More profitable, not interesting. Which in the long run hurts disco ecosystem by making traders trade less because they can get funds quicker.
I don't agree Snak3, I'm currently doing 50 mill average per trip (medium distance trips and I do my own mining) , so 37 mill for such a long trip (Colorado-Omega49) and no profit return trip (unless you start moving gold from Dublin) is clearly just not enough, I won't be doing any of those commodity runs again if they don't mean the real business, and I mean at least 55 mill profit per trip with a large transport...

I found that vodka from o-49 or whiskey from Dublin to the golden dragon casino in Shikoku was a decent complement to the travel down south.

If you are using PoBs to get ore fast, then of course ore trading is most profitable. However, without PoB, mining is on par with these trading events because it's profit/time ratio is what matters. However, mining requires active effort. Trading events require no effort. So in the end, they are nice activity magnets, however shortsighted. I'd prefer quick events during prime time rather than spread over to prevent hours tradinge with no danger to get huge profits.
Tbh i hauled RA all the way back from there for 1/2 the total trips.
This event is not about power trading. It is about interactions that can take place.
