Is placing weapon turrets next to JHs still allowed?

I have seen a base to two that still do this and I have seen/heard bases being moved becasue it was such a bad thing.
An example would be Goldern Coin, if i recall correctly.


So is it allowed or nein?

There is nothing in rules against it nor the was any green statement as far as I know. Thus it is allowed.

Staff for some reason decided to solve this problem on several spots not by moving the bases, but by moving the jumpholes (it is primarily related to POBs from times without blueprints, these days admins can stop building of such base directly next to jumphole by not giving them).

On a ragebreak. Or ragequit. Time will tell.

The 'staff' - assuming you're referring to the admin team here - does not move jumpholes. That's strictly dev territory. And it is something we've been known to do on occasion when bases are causing problems, but also for a myriad of other reasons, usually regarding trade route distances.

So long story short, the admin team doesn't see it as enough of a problem (or at least hasn't convened on it and had enough agreement on the matter yet) to impose a rule about it and move the bases. They're not moving holes around, just wanted to clear that up.

It should be forbidden.
Admins have a duty to keep gameplay from being damaged.
POB turrets at holes/gates have proven to be highly damaging for gameplay.

A motion to change POB rules is currently in the making.
It will include "blocking bases" and "area denial".
