- House Miltary, Police and Intelligence factions may enforce roleplay consequences only for actions occurring within their ZOI.
As the Staff, we have to abide by the Rules if it is brought to our attention. Within the Post, mentioned, was some RP consequences. There was nothing 'fishy' about it.
Just for my own edification here....
So, say something like this happens:
In RP, Every news outlet in Sirius does a live and follow up news stories about what happened at FP11, plus reports of various Houses Ships getting shot at and shot up who participated in the relief effort start rolling in... the Governments of all houses (Sorry, not ignoring smaller conglomerations or inter house territories) debate and discuss what has happened and decide to act (either temporarily or permanently) by trade embargoes, Fiscal restrictions, or out right banning the perpetrators (if at all any sort of reaction), but oorp, it would be shot down because of this rule?

I think that is a topic to bring up to the Administrators feedback, not Core's.
@Pavel: Thank you for your reply. I discussed the issue with St.Denis already in a very constructive way. I made my reservations clear, and I think it does not have to be discussed any further, especially as the main blame is not to be put on the staff that was forced to act, but on the party that reported a situation in which Core would have been protected by the rules and could have roleplayed in a totally relaxed atmosphere, instead of going for the oorp nuke.
XXX: Not bothering. Staff nuked the thread because Lyth QQed at them
Jack Henderson: which thread?
Jack Henderson: the Bretonian-Core thread?
XXX: Yup. The one where we demanded an explanation of events. Lyth QQ'ed and it got taken down.
I request a statement on this one because this sounds fishy to an extreme degree!
Since when does staff get involved in roleplay?
Jack
The reason why the Staff got involved was because this Card was played.

If this is the case, then why was Rheinland for example allowed to make their statement? It didnt happen in Rheinland or Rheinlands ZOI.
This Galaxy is vast; its wonders and beauty are almost unfathomable. But the galaxy also hides dark secrets, some of which have lain dormant since the beginning of time itself. There is a danger in secrets, both in seeking and in knowing. Some things are meant to be hidden from view. Some mysteries defy understanding, and sometimes even the things we think we know are untrue. Some secrets should remain untouched.
Afaik bretonia only asked for an explanation, which is basically what RM had the Omikronkorps for in the first place.

Since there's been claims of powergaming in Core lore, in Lyth's general absence from the mod (sorry Lyth!) Core HC has tweaked and toned down the lore in an effort to find a resolution regarding those claims. We've hopefully made it sound less powergamey now.
Also if a mod could lock this thread that'd be useful. It's certainly time to retire it rather than have it function as a drama-fuel machine.
