More than you know, or would like to believe.

This community has been a cesspit for a long time and no one that has tried to fixed that has created any real change. Rather than quitting I'd suggest trying to incite change. People like myself can only make complaints and offer criticism because we lack any real power to make needed changes. I guess we could just lie and say we're happy about absolute everything that ever happens, and sow smiles onto our faces, but that'd simply be an insult to our own intelligence as well as yours.
The responsibility for change falls onto your shoulders. None of us are out to get people personally, however we've taken note of the unhealthy situation the community and server are in are trying to help as best as we can - which is very limited. So I'd suggest that rather than taking breaks you should keep at trying to bring changes because that's good. Although I don't blame you because the Steam Sale is on.

Thanks to posts and people like you, Drrobe, I've been more or less on break for nearly a month myself - in large part because any suggestion aimed at improving things either seems to wind up brushed under the carpet or replied to with this same old garbage about 'we do it for free yadda yadda'. I'm sure I could do a lot of valuable work all for free, as well, but I don't think people would be queueing up to thank me if I managed to set everything on fire and then harp on about how they should be grateful because I don't get paid to do it.
There are exceptions, of course, but in general the management here in Disco has appeared piss-poor for years now. Even worse, it's at the exact uncanny valley of awfulness where it's not quite bad enough to shut all the sycophantic bleaters and yes-men up about how we should be grateful for everything we do have, but it's still bad enough to (IMHO) have a woeful impact on player retention and attraction across the board.
If your feelings are really being trod on by people telling you that you suck at your job - and if you genuinely can't even begin to empathise with why they might think that's the case, even if (in your opinion or in fact) it isn't, then maybe you should just walk out the door. Every green (less so the oranges, because they're too busy eyeing the green spots themselves) loves to remind people about how they have no obligations to be here and how much they really hate getting bad feedback, but very few seem willing to actually try and give people what they want. It must be easier to copy-paste the same posts about how hard it is to do an administrator's job than it is to put effort into working on matters. x:
But then again, what would I know? I don't administrate this community, and the only forums I was ever staff on had a far more placid userbase (probably because there was no game attached to the RP there). I never felt like I had any difficulty separating legitimate feedback (regardless of tone) from baseless whinging, though.
Oh, and by the way - if you want to see what actual negative posting that should upset you looks like, take a look at the one two posts above. That's the sort of thing you should be concerned about, not criticism that might actually hold some weight.
Call it a miniature rant Omi, call me toxic. But at least I make an effort in this community instead if just ditching to play overwatch especially if I do something like... lead a faction maybe? The worst people are those that bitch and moan when they don't even try. Your words carry no weight until you actually put effort into the community

Even if Omi doesn't do anything at least he doesnt sit around making an entire meme of his time here. You do so much oorp crap just for memes, you don't do anything serious anymore. All you do is log and try to gank your enemies for "fun raids". Yeah, let me tell you something Lyth, nobody in the world thinks like you do, whether that be good or bad. Nobody finds your raids run, literally nobody. To make it even worse you dont even seriously lead yet your ass is still too stubborn to hand over leadership to somebody in your actual competent HC.
You should all be toning it down and taking it off the forums. There's a difference between constructive feedback (Which, big surprise: They actually listen to) and only wanting to get your way. Contrary to your belief, the staff all work with the best interest of the Community in mind, not the best interest of a few individuals, and there is still a lot more going on behind the scenes than they need to reveal. Administrators aren't obligated to be transparent or public speakers. They're obligated to do their jobs. They do their jobs and take baseless crap from the same mud-slinging people every day.
