There are the two new weapon slots and the CD slot, wich is also at another "place". Those unmounted as soon as I logged the account out and in again. I tested it 3 times and all the time the same result. Its the two lower gunslots and the CD one, the others are fine.

When you log out of the game all weapons except turrets 1 and 2 are unmounted, and the shield is deleted
e: Further testing indicates that if you mount a transport shield or below it won't delete it upon re-logging
If I am seeing this correctly, they are both identical DPS, on hull and shield the only difference is the range, projectile speed, refire rate and energy useage. Please correct me if I am wrong but this seems a little odd.

I visited the base mentioned above, visited every dealer at the base, talked to the bartender and The Core never showed up on my reputation list (F8); I also flew near several fighters and freighters that belonged to The Core and The Core was still absent from my rep list.

It is damage per shot, not damage per second. Mortar damage per second is 56K, while the Razor's is 28K. Furthermore, the razor uses much more energy for 1 unit of damage than the mortar, which makes it less efficient. The infocards are correct, but this doesn't mean that the Razor is as damaging as the Mortar in the long run. Only per 1 shot. If you scoured through update history, you'd find that the Razor damage per shot was increased from 140K to 280K, and the range reduced from 1.6K to 1.3K.
