[Comm ID: Navyman recruit Jarl Thompson]
[Begin Message]

Yesterday as I was celebrating my first full month as a Navyman recruit I got pulled away for a one day trip in on of liberties science vessels. Thanks to my extensive scientific studies at the academy.

Our task was to head for a certain system to perform various tests. However, during this day I got the opportunity to see the specs for the Heavy Rashpoints. Since I remember the specs for the navy weapons by heart I made a little comparison:

Name:_____________Magma__Vengence__Rashpoint
Damaged hull/s:1____1908_____1550_____1707
Damaged shield/s:___950______775______850
Consume rate/s:____197______50_______60
Range:____________600______600______600
Speed:____________500______750______750

Why all this? It was so that I could enforce my request to perhaps consider the Rashpoints as a valid option. The design, I believe was created by Ageria. However, they are manufactured quite far away from liberty. The Rashpoints can also be used quite successfully with the Delibirators and are civilian weapons.

I hope I have not stepped out of line as a recruit.

Is it possible that the Heavy Rashpoints can be mounted on Liberty fighters?

Greetings again Commanding Officers of the SA and LSF!

As concerning the negotiation for the purchase of the Liberty gunboat, I have been informed to tell you that the Guild has decided to cancel the purchase. My crew and I will be transferred back to a gunship asap, as the situation in the Border Worlds requires our immediate attention.

I see that you have enough on your plate, so no more need to consider this matter.

Success to both of your organizations in all of your endeavors!

Joosua Elonen signing off.

End of transmission...

OOC background: Due to the current situation on the server, I decided to opt out of buying the gunboat. I believe it is for the best considering some of feelings now present in game and on the forums. No sense in me going out of my way to irritate people with what many would consider an oorp ship. I'll just have to suck it up and put up with people moaning and groaning about the gunship - at least it's strictly according to rp. Thanks for considering my application. Peace.

Re: Re: Buckshots

Recruit,

I think you've stumbled upon some interesting weaponry here. Although only sold in Dublin and New Tokyo, these certainly are civilian weapons. However, I believe you mean the Heavy "Flashpoint," rather than Rashpoint. They are manufactured by BMM and Interspace Commerce.

Comparatively, this is what we're looking at:

Name: Buckshot
Hull Damage/Second: 1832.00
Damage Per Second/Unit Energy: 14.99
Shots per Second: 4.00

Name: Magma Hammer Mk IV
Hull Damage/Second: 1908.00
Damage Per Second/Unit Energy: 9.69
Shots per Second: 2.00

Name: Heavy Flashpoint
Hull Damage/Second: 1699.32
Damage Per Second/Unit Energy: 28.322
Shots per Second: 8.33

If you'll notice, your Heavy Flashpoint does the least damage per second, but is by far the most energy efficient weapon. But, looking at it all, I still think we're better off with the Buckshot. Further, the refire of the Buckshot lends itself to being used with the Debilitators.

However, if you enjoy chain weapons, you probably wouldn't fair to poorly with the Heavy Flashpoint. What it really boils down to is this. If you want a fast shooting weapon that sacrifices a little damage but can be sustained, go with the Flashpoint. If you want steady damage with steady refire and almost steady energy, the Buckshot is yours. If you want a harder hitting, slower refire, and heavy energy consuming, then you ought to go with the Magma Hammer. But, if you're going with the Magma Hammer, you might as well go with the codenames.

What a mess. I hope we can all test out some new weapons and come to some sort of a conclusion on them in the near future.

Regards,
Commander James Farley

How do I put this...?

While guarding Z-21, a ship emerged from the gate. It possessed nomads and did not comply to turning back the way it came nor to demands of halting and dropping its contraband. I pursued the ship all the way to Colorado where I caught up with it, but it proved too powerful and I was unable to stop it. In the end, I ejected and slowly made my way to the Rio Grande.

Below is a record of the ship as it traversed Z-21. Perhaps I was imagining things, but my weapons made no significant damage to it.

[Tracing Signal to CIC, LNS Birmingham, Headquarters, 522nd Battlegroup]
[Displaying Hologram, Rear Admiral Wooley]
[Beginning Message]

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Liberty Armed Forces, i am pleased to anounce the establishment of the 522nd Battlegroup. We will be operating within Colorado and the adjoining systems. Note that the crusiers Eternal, and Memphis are under the banner of the 522nd, and the gunboats Ft.Blakely and Hampton roads are forbidden to enter the Southern systems UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES (((((ooc: reason is to bring more RP to the northern part outside of NY)))). Please redirect them to their ZoI. ALso, the fighter group, Marauder Squadron is assigned to the 522nd. I sincerely hope that you understand that marauders only respond to the command of Marauder Lead and Marauder two and that they answer to me (and the rest of the Northern High Command, which is being worked out).
Just another note, the battleship, LNS-Tennessee will be taking over as flagship for the 522nd.
Signed,
Rear Admiral James Wooley,
Commandant, 522nd Battlegroup

[Origin: Bridge, LNS Birmingham]
SUBJECT: The Order/Rheinland
Ladies and Gentlement of the Armed forces, i concurr with Mr. Patterson, we must act quickly. I suggest sending LSF to deal with this so called "threat" the Order. While, possibly sending small flights to reconnoitre the edge systems of Rheinland. I recommend Marauder for this task. THey are the most able of all the squads we currently have. Also i am hereby issuing an Executive order to the 522nd Battlegroup. ALL SHIPS ARE TO STATION THEMSELVES AT the Baltimore shipyards.

Sirs, I will be moving my vessel north at once. I was in California for the sole purpose of pursuing a pirate, and none of the Southern fleet were in residence.

Marauder Two is currently on board my vessel, and we will begin sweeps of Colorado immediately.

You have your authorization Donovan, move out ASAP.
I expect to see a report on your patrols on my desk.
And that is alright, you may enter the SA ZOI for that purpose but not regularly (((still trying to bring more RP to colorado and its surrounding turf))))
