When you set the drawing distance of asteroid fields a bit higher (8000 instead of 1000). That's how the asteroid fields actually look like.

Didn't you say you would love to see a asteroid labyrinth, @Ramke ? Big Grin

Yes, it will trigger Anti-Cheat, as you have to alter the asteroid fields ini file. The drawing distance is in there.

not all inis trigger the anti cheat. Those for visuals/aesthetics usually don't.

But that would be awesome to have it implemented officially Big Grin

Asteroids are actually thousands of kilometers away from each other iRL. Once they get so close as in FL (or Star Wars), their mutual gravity attracts them towards each other and they form a larger object.

Gravitational pulls can cancel each other out. So if you form a ring around a bigger solar object that (the ring) is made of asteroids of the same mass and at the same distance from each other they pulls will cancel each other out completely. I think rotation around each other can also make asteroids avoid collision.

That's quite accurate, given the short paragraph, how gravitational pull works.
